No no no no no no no no no no no DON'T GO!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! A GUY FROM RECEPTION WANTED TO COME INTO OUR ROOM!!! AND THE ROOM IS TOOOO SMALL AND SMELLS BAD!!! the only thing what's good about it was the cleaning ladies. They clean very well and they are very nice and one of the RECEPTION is also very nice.
Liked: The look and feel of the hotel captures the Moroccan culture and looked great albeit dated and old and very tired. The rooms were nice to an extent and clean in terms of smell and no body hair etc. The location was great. Disliked: Everything! The rooms were in a very poor state of affair. Very few things worked, the advert suggests a lot which are all lies so please take the description as lies and believe very little. There are no toiletries, except a toy bar of hand soap. There are no shower gels, there is no coffee and tea making facilities as stated in the description. the toilet seats are broken in the two rooms I stayed in. I booked a room with a Mountain View but got a room with no view except four walls of the inside. The TV remote does not work, the shower does not provide hot water, the water splashes all over the bathroom floor, the floor of the bedroom is dusty so I would advise taking sandals or slippers. The wall plugs don't all work, the shower head cannot be mounted as the holder is broken, the built in wardrobes smell, Said the day manager is not the best and doesn't take any complaints seriously. The bed wasn't comfortable and none of the surfaces were clean at all. In fact, they were disgusting! I had to ask for bath towels and toilet rolls as there were none after checking in! Oh and it was impossible to sleep due to noise at night and very early morning.
It is located in the center of Tetouan, the rooms are very old, there is no Wi-Fi, hot water is only available after 18:00, there is a café in the first floor, and the hotel is about 20km from the beach.
Disappointing hotel. The rooms and the hotel itself are outdated, poorly maintained, dark, and cramped. It's not worth 6500 dirhams a night, especially since there's no breakfast. Upon arrival, we were asked to pay for the room immediately to get the keys, before even seeing the room. When we finally saw the room and were dissatisfied, the concierge refused to give us a refund, saying it was too late. In short, a bad experience.
It is outrageous that they dare to charge money for this!! A truly filthy hotel. The chair in the room was covered in brown stains. The lamp in the room was literally hanging from the ceiling, and the shower head was broken. Not hygienic at all; the floor was filthy, and there were literally hairs everywhere on the floor. The towels didn't look clean. There was no air conditioning, so it was boiling hot in the room. Consequently, I slept very poorly. The toilet was also broken because it was leaking. Absolutely not recommended; it is not worth your money at all!! They should be truly ashamed of the fact that they dare to charge so much money for this. This wasn't even worth 20dh. Ridiculous.
The best thing about this hotel is undoubtedly the staff, always attentive and incredibly friendly, as well as its location, right in the heart of Tetouan, next to a public parking lot, and just two minutes from the Medina and the King's Palace. It's a shame the rooms are so mediocre. The mattresses feel like reinforced concrete, and it gets stiflingly hot. The nights were very difficult between the heat and the uncomfortable beds. There isn't even a fan to help cool things down while sleeping. The bathroom is old, the toilet is detached from the floor, and there's no shower curtain, so every time you shower, it gets everywhere. Overall, they could invest a little more to improve guest comfort and gain a lot, because their service and friendliness were delightful!
I strongly advise against this so-called hotel. Three of us at reception were disappointed and shocked; the manager told us the rooms were full even though we had all booked in advance. I had asked to pay a deposit when I made the reservation, but they refused. I understand why, as they lack transparency and only approve bookings for those who pay the most. I traveled 500 km only to be shocked in the end. The manager is not professional and told us to do whatever we want.
We stayed one night at the Hotel Regina from March 31st to April 2nd, 2024. We were greeted by Saïd at reception. There were three of us motorcyclists, and we took a triple room on the first floor. The bathroom was lovely and the room comfortable. It cost 400 dirhams per night, which is very reasonable. Saïd directed us to a 24/7 guarded underground parking garage 200 meters away where we were able to park our motorcycles for 60 dirhams each per 24 hours. We had breakfast at a nearby bar. In short, a very good hotel and a very warm welcome. We'll be back! 😊
