My hairdresser Zouheir is very good to me he understands my request in English and i'm pretty satisfied with his skill.

I was very disappointed with my experience at this barbershop. During the haircut, the barber used a wild boar bristle brush on my hair. Only afterwards I realised what it was and politely explained to him that this is najis (impure) in Islam. Many major scholars have clearly stated that pig and wild boar hair should not be used. Instead of understanding or taking this seriously, he simply implied that it’s not a problem and went on to tell me how these brushes are good. With all respect, a barber’s personal opinion cannot override the rulings of the scholars of Islam. Muslims trust barbers to use clean and halal tools, and it is very disappointing that they would use an impure (najis) material on their Muslim customers without informing them. I hope the management will take this seriously and replace these brushes with halal, synthetic, or other pure alternatives. A Muslim business should care about the purity and cleanliness of its tools, especially when dealing directly with people’s bodies.
