Playa Hôtel Dakhla

My recent visit to Playa Cafeteria was disappointing due to exceptionally poor service. After waiting two hours for our order of pasticcio chicken, we received pasticcio minced meat instead, with no apology from the waitress. Despite decent food quality, the lack of accountability and respect from the staff overshadowed any positives. Improvement in customer service is urgently needed

I came so tired at 12:00 of midnight and they canceled my booking for the last minute. I stayed wandering for other places to stay like a homeless. The worst place in the planet, they are racist, sexist and ignorant. There is no logic in what they provide in the reception, the guy there is disgusting, and what they care about is profit. I don’t recommend at all.

A rather surprising discovery upon arrival: the rooms have no toilets; they are shared by all the rooms on the landing. There is one toilet on each floor, and no sinks in the rooms. An entire section of the hotel, particularly the single rooms, has no sea view but an internal window against a shared wall, barely a meter from the neighboring building. In the single room, there is no chair, no table, just a small table next to the bed. One significant positive point: Wi-Fi and breakfast are included. It's more of a motel than a proper hotel... The advertising doesn't reflect reality. The reception is friendly, but security is inconsistent, mainly handled by a concierge at the front desk. Furthermore, the locks are faulty and require manual intervention to operate. Conclusion: an establishment made for young people living on love and fresh air, with little concern for minimal comfort, my stay reminded me of the good old days in a youth hostel.

A very bad experience with the Imperial Playa Dakhla hotel. They are first-class scammers. I booked a room with a sea view through Expedia, and upon arrival, I was given a room that was nothing like the one I had booked. They pressured me into paying an extra 750 DH to get the same room I had originally booked. The room didn't have a phone charging outlet; you had to unplug the refrigerator or the TV. It was filthy. The windows were never wiped. The photos on the website are misleading. There's no parking; you have to park on the street, which has no attendant. Towels are laundered on-site and rented. There's no Wi-Fi signal.

The hotel was clean and well-maintained, with friendly and attentive staff. I had a pleasant stay in room 24, which had a beautiful view of the sea.

We were very satisfied. Excellent room with sea view and bathroom for the price. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Good breakfast. See you next time at the Imperial Hotel!

The manager, a foreigner, is a crook; for the same family, he gives one small room with a sea view and one awful room for the children. Avoid this hotel.

Meh, the room leaves a lot to be desired! The two stars are just for the location.
