Hotel Riad Dalia

It is located in the Medina of Tetouan, so you cannot get here by taxi, only on foot. Like all the buildings in the Medina, they are very old but are being renovated. If you expect to find a modern hotel with very high standards, don't come here! If you like the history of the place, and you want a traditional house with small modern adjustments, come here! I liked it very much. We had a very large and bright apartment, which I highly recommend. I was amused that the door didn't close well, or that there were some mosaic tiles that were loose, but like I said, I was amused and didn't complain about that. The bed very comfortable. The staff here was very kind. Greetings and thank you!

First few minutes said it all. A warm greeting. Great room. Bathroom facilities and all round accommodation was exceptional. Great location and authentic experience. Would highly recommend Also if you can ask for Abdul as a tour guide for the day. Its well worth it. He treated us like family and is a very knowledgeable local guide. Everything about this Riad was positive: the staff, the terrace, the breakfast, the location... It's a place with traditional Moroccan decor and very tasteful. Some of the budget rooms are better than others, but the staff always try to place you in the best rooms possible.

A quite hidden hotel amidst the labyrinthine streets of the medina of Tetouane, but a wonderfully gem in itself - the host said it's 300 years old, so we could go back in time while resting here - and we really felt the spirit of the bygone time. Our room was - as the whole Riad itself - very cozy and really put our minds at ease after a long day full of journey and adventure. The icing on the cake was the beautiful roof terrace, where we attended the sunset and spent some hours reading and listening to the hustle and bustle of the busy streets. Lastly, the breakfast was a more than delicious completion of our stay. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Riad Dalia is a traditional Moroccan riad of 7 rooms and suits. Magnificent house-palace of the 18th century belonged to Dfouf family. In 1930s housed Dutch consul in Spanish Morocco. Riad is located in the historic center of Tetouan, Medina, a city that has been proclaimed the cultural heritage of UNESCO in 1997. Very easy to find (on square Ousaa , near the tourist police post). Patio of the house is open space used as a dining room and is surrounded by 4 columns that support the second floor. Suite I had was on 3rd floor accessible by steep steps. Room is huge with very high ceiling, and red light entering the room through the red stained windows, window facing the Royal palace, to the west, and 2 windows to the east terrace. Wonderful light during the day. Breakfast was very good, traditional, with fresh squeezed orange juice, omelet with local cheese (jben beldi), olives and olive oil, bread, honey and jam, and coffee or tea. Thanks specially to Redouane who took care of me during my stay. All was perfect and authentic, wonderful view to the souk and palace from the window, fresh air 3 terraces offers 360deg view of Tetouan. Definitely would be back there for my next stay! Its a old building and that is why you should not expect super modern furniture or looking to every corner to find it super clean. Its very well maintained, but some reparation work should be done. Also it could be difficult for some to communicate with the staff in English as they are not so skilled in this language. Arabic sure, and Spanish will be fine and French too. Except of this - all was perfect
