Hotel Alixares

We are still at the hotel and could not wait to write a review as the place, staff, location, food and amenities are amazing. The place is a 5/5 and every single thing has been perfect. The location cant be beat if you are visiting the Alhambra, the service from the front desk staff is AMAZING and the food is simply to die for. If you come, get dinner on their terrace as they have the most breathtaking view of the city. A really amazing hotel. We will definitely come back.

Just a great location only a 15 min walk from the Alhambra entrance. They charge for parking and it's a little away from the hotel. Lots of variety in breakfast for everyone. My room had no air conditioner yet others were given rooms with air conditioners. As a trade I was given an exclusive room with a balcony/patio and a beautiful view of Alhambra so I kept the window open and was happy with the trade.

One of good hotel i've visited. So calm and clean. Staff is good and helpful, breakfast is as usual breakfast. One thing that made me surprised was while opening the windows in the morning, I saw the beautiful view, Alhambra. So comfortable, the room is good n big, bathroom is also nice and clean. Recommended.

Very nice welcome and friendly receptionist. Hotel a bit weathered looking outside but good within. Bedrooms are nice, but be aware only superior rooms get tea/coffee making unless you request same which in our case was refused until we took up the matter with management. Resolved and happy now. Breakfast is rather half hearted but post Covid with the Hotel quiet maybe to be expected. No dinner service except bar food in that area which was very good and reasonably priced. This is definitely the hotel to stay for its proximity to the Alhambra Palace and short walk down into Granada's historic city centre both of which are wonderful. Get a bus 1.4euro back up (run every 5minutes) Taxi will return you to the door for around 5euro. Limited on site underground parking 19.4euro per day same as plentiful Alhambra parking opposite. Near impossible to park in City.

A great hotel perfectly located for a visit to Granada and the Alhambra. The hotel does have some limited parking available but if not the big car park is just over the road. A nice warm comfortable hotel. Good efficient friendly staff. Breakfast, lunch and dinner available in the buffet restaurant. A bar serving drinks and food also available with reasonable prices. Good clean and comfortable rooms and with some nice views.

The hotel is very nice with modern facilities but all made in typical Alhambra style. It’s placed o the top of the hill , a quiet area,very close to Alhambra entrance. It has good bus connections with the city center. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely my first choice for next trips to Granada.

Everything else was good other than the air conditioning…. It’s central air and when it’s 28-30 degrees outside during the day your room tends to get very warm. The air conditioning in the room is simply to control flow of the central air into the room which still isn’t cold if you like to sleep in a cold room. Our room felt warmer than the outside air at night. I called front desk to complain and their response was that this is what the temperature is in the whole building and the air conditioning is working.
