Review guidelines
Reviews are the heart of Finder. These rules keep them trustworthy — for the people choosing where to go, and fair for the businesses being reviewed. Our moderators remove content that breaks them.
Write about your own experience
Reviews must describe a genuine, first-hand visit or purchase. Second-hand stories, rumours, or reviews written on behalf of someone else are removed.
Keep it useful
The best reviews explain what you ordered or used, what stood out, and what could be better. Photos of the place, the food, or the work make your review far more helpful.
No conflicts of interest
Don't review your own business, your employer, or a direct competitor. Owners can respond publicly to reviews on their listing instead.
No paid or exchanged reviews
Reviews written for money, discounts, gifts, or in exchange for other reviews are removed, and repeat offenders lose their account.
Be respectful
Criticism of a business is welcome; harassment, hate speech, threats, or exposing someone's private information is not.
Recent and relevant
Stick to your experience with this business and keep it current. Update your review if things changed on a later visit.
