The receptionist was extremely gentle and nice. The room was traditionally designed and nice. Quiet, well located a stone throw away from cisterns. Breakfast full and we got an omelette first time. Would come back and recommend for my friends.
The Place is very very basic and old, not worth the money they ask. You can find better and cheaper in most places of Europe! Residence is very very small, no pool, no garden, no balcony, no view from the windows. But the real problem are the reception. Incredibly rude. I taked a room with my cousin and from the first night when we go out they asked him the key of the room. Never see in any place that you asked to leave obligatory the key. But the real problem started the second day. I asked if I can book the next day and if there is a discount for the second day for direct booking. No discount, they even asked me more money from Booking. I said to the receptionist that I will think if I extend for 2 hours and if I can leave baggage for 2 hours, she rolled her eyes like I asked her something huge and told me that she will open the room for anybody, can't wait even 2 hours! In the end I decided to extend and she returned to me asking me in a very aggressive way to pay now even if I told her that I pay as usually at checkout. They have my data and my car, so why the rush? Not only this place is very overpriced for what he had to offer (very old, very little, no balcony, no garden, no beautiful view, weeeak wifi) but the staff and the hotel rules suckkkss! Never again!
Excellent welcome and a tourist free location. So well worth the effort to get here!
Azzedine was super kind and accommodating, offering us Moroccan tea as soon as we arrived and having an interesting conversation about the history of the city.
Thank you very much, Azedine, for your time! Azedine will be an amazing host, very friendly and caring, so don't miss out on this Riad! He will help you with all you need. Greetings from Germany
Good service, beautiful design, kind staff Azzedine he is a great receptionist if u need anything u can ask him
Nice people, good cross breeze at night, cute terrace. Not much of a view. Few amenities in room.
I stayed here in 2019 and wanted to stay in the Portuguese Quarter again on June 12, 2025. I checked prices and options on Booking.com and visited the riad in person. It's closed and the entrance area is completely dilapidated. How is it possible that this riad is still bookable? It's a real shame I can't attach any photos.
