Beautifully authentic Riad in the medina of Tetouan. We stayed here for 2 nights and had a great stay. We stayed at many Riads in Morocco but this place felt the most authentic in appearance. The room itself was spacious and very clean. The staff, Fara and Mohammed were so warm and generous with their time and help. Made us feel very welcome in this city.
Can't say enough about how fantastic Riad El Manatial was. When you get there it's like a piece of paradise away from the hustle and bustle of the medina and city of Tetouan. The staff are very accommodating and the crew especially appreciated Hamza who helped us with everything we needed including taking me to the nearest pharmacy. The room was spacious including a TV, wonderful air conditioning, nice bathroom and a comfortable bed. We decided to have dinner on the roof the first night and the staff ordered food from a restaurant they have a connection with. The next day they arranged a nice tour if the medina for us and they really did whatever they could to take care of us. The breakfast was amazing and really ensured that our day started off the right way. The only disappointment is that we only stayed 2 days there.
This is a one of a kind hotel in the middle of the old medina in Tetouan. There are only 5 large guest rooms that include private baths. The hotel is actually a gorgeous old Moroccan palace transformed into an awesome bed and breakfast. The owner and his family run the hotel and make you feel as if you are part of their family. When we arrived, Fara, the owner's sister, sat down with us to enjoy the traditional Moroccan tea. It was a good opportunity for us to ask any questions about Tetouan and Moroccan culture. She was leaving about an hour later and her nephew, Mehedi came on duty. He was equally as welcoming and both felt like they were our family members welcoming us to their beautiful house. We also met the owner who was extremely kind as well. Mohammed took our luggage from the Taxi and walked us to the hotel from the main entrance of the Medina about a 5 min walk. He was so kind to point out all of the highlights along the way. Once we got checked in, Mohammed was our fabulous tour guide for the rest of the afternoon. The next morning we truly enjoyed a lovely Moroccan breakfast at the hotel. We took so many beautiful photos inside this beautiful palace and in Tetouan as well. T
An unbeliveble dream💖 …
It was quite an experience. Located right in the Medina, tucked away among narrow streets that felt like a labyrinth. The triple room was incredibly spacious and spotless. Every detail was perfect. We were welcomed with Moroccan tea and received impeccable service throughout our stay. They were always ready to help. Thank you so much! The breakfast was amazing, it seemed endless. And all of this was always done with a smile on their faces. Highly recommended, a truly special place. A building steeped in history that seems to transport you back in time.
We were two couples a month ago, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience than our first trip to Morocco. Much of this goes to the establishment itself, as well as the staff at Riad El Manantial. From the very first moment, they treated us wonderfully and made us feel very comfortable. The riad is charming, the rooms comfortable, the bed very comfortable, and the buffet perfect. It's located within the medina, which makes it easy to enjoy your stay right in the heart of it. Special mention to the staff: Farah helped us from the very beginning; the owner (sorry I can't remember his name) couldn't have been friendlier than he was; and finally, my Jay, Mohamed. After a short time with him, it felt like we'd known him before; he helps you with everything, is interested in your concerns, and is very helpful and a good person. He knows the medina and its intricacies like no one else, and makes for a unique experience. Thank you for treating us like this; it was a pleasure meeting you, and I'm sure we'll come back someday!
This riad makes your stay in Tetouan a 200% enjoyable experience. Farah, the receptionist, is delightful. She helps you with everything she can. She even arranged a private taxi ride for us. Mohammed acted as our guide, accompanying us to various places and even waiting for us. He even gave us directions when he had to return for prayers (we went during Ramadan). He even helped us book a hammam (a highly recommended experience). The riad's rooms are spectacular. Spacious, well-kept, and beautiful. The bathroom is very well-equipped: large shower, hairdryer... everything was great! The patio is wonderful, very, very pretty. But what we enjoyed most was breakfast: different types of breads and crepes, coffee, mint tea (of course), juice, jam, honey, eggs, butter, and cheese. A luxury. If you go to Tetouan, book here. It's right in the medina.
The riad is lovely and well-decorated, and the manager's welcome was warm and professional. Breakfast is very simple but good. The only downside is the Wi-Fi, which doesn't work in the room, and the 4G signal is also weak.
