What people mention
It was a brief stay and this Riad is lost in a sea of alleys in an old part of town, with a very unassuming entrance. If you are familiar with riads, you will know they have a central open air court yard, to funnel the warm air up and out and allow cooling air to stay at the bottom. On each floor are rooms off the central column. Riad BE has and exceptionally beautiful court yard with a plunge pool. There is also a roof top area where you can relax, have a drink. Sit in the sun or undercover, have a bite to eat or a drink. It's all very calming and stylish. They take card and cash, which is always handy, as plenty of places in Marrakech are cash only.
We were a little disappointed with our stay at Riad Be. The room we stayed in had a door which was so faulty you had to practically shoulder charge it to get in or out. Our room also didn’t have any windows. On our last night, we booked dinner at the hotel for 6:30pm. When we arrived, there was no record of our booking and the waiter told us the food would not be ready until 7:30pm. We then saw staff carrying in Tagine’s which appeared to have just been bought from a restaurant down the road. The Riad itself was tired and run down. That being said, the staff were pleasant and the massage and Hammam was excellent. Compared to other Riads we have stayed in in Marrakech, this one was very disappointing. For the price, there are better options.
Super chill riad, everything just perfect except the room is pretty small.
Very good riad, poor service
Thank you! 🤩 …
Merci beaucoup! BE welcome anytime again.
I booked three nights at Be Marrakech, one “luxury Room” called Shams. The price 150 euros night including breakfast. I was stunned when I came into the room and saw that there wasn’t natural light because there is no window! Furthermore the room size is very small, very narrow only fits the bed. How can you call this space as a “luxury room”???! I had to cancel my booking for the rest of the nights. I have to say that the Riad public areas, including the basement with a little swimming pool, and the terrace are gorgeous and decorated super “chic”. (Also the room) The staff is young and very nice, and they understood my complaints allowing the cancellation without penalty. But I think that, clearly, when you are going to reserve online they have to inform two very essential things about this “luxury room”: that the room hasn’t window and no natural light and the real size.
The private Riad was incredible. We stayed there in July 2019. The staff was very friendly and gave us many great recommendations and tips about Marrakech. The dinner we had was local and VERY good! You could even order breakfast at your Riad and it was the best breakfast I had my entire trip to Marrakech. We stayed at the four seasons after Riad Be, you can’t compare the two but if you want a real authentic Marrakech feeling you should stay here at the private riad.
