It took them like half an hour for a taco that was mediocre, nothing special. Slow service but good vibes and perfect view over the beach.

A Shocking Disappointment...Cheap Ingredients and Mediocre Quality. ​We were genuinely so happy and excited to visit Relais Marin in Rabat because of all the glowing reviews we had read online. Unfortunately, we were surprisingly shocked by how bad the experience actually was. It completely failed to meet expectations, and the food was incredibly mediocre. ​To make matters worse, we paid 200 DH for the two breakfast menus. We have been to many other places where we paid way less but received a complete breakfast, far more items, and much higher quality food. It is glaringly obvious that this establishment is cutting corners by using the absolute cheapest products available while still charging a premium. ​Here is a breakdown of what made this such a terrible experience: ​Cheap, Processed Meats: Instead of serving real smoked turkey (dinde fumé), they used fake, highly processed slices of kasher. It looked and tasted exactly like the cheap 6 DH packs you would find at a basic grocery store. You can see this on the side plate in the photo. ​The Tagine: The khlii tagine was extremely oily and incredibly skimpy, they literally only used one egg. ​False Advertising on Drinks: The orange juice is advertised as fresh with pulp, but it tasted exactly like it came straight out of a cheap, processed bottle. ​Stale Sides and Bad Cheese: The olives tasted completely old. The cheese was cheap and had a terrible, off putting smell. Even the bread served to us was cold and had a stale, old smell to it. ​Inedible Toast: The toast from the second menu (which you can see in the photo) was loaded with ultra processed cheese and stuffed with that same cheap kasher ham. The quality was so bad that we physically could not finish it. ​Overall, this was a completely unexpected and poor experience. Save your money and go somewhere that respects its customers enough to use real, fresh ingredients. We will definitely not be returning.
