After spending a week in Morocco between Marrakech and Essaouira, I can honestly say our dinner at La Table by Madada was the best meal we’ve had. Everything we ordered was delicious, full of flavor, and perfectly balanced. I highly recommend ordering the clam pasta and the sea bass, and don’t forget about the chocolate fondant, it was the perfect treat after an impeccable meal! If you’re in Essaouira, having dinner here is a must!
Excellent food and service!
Beautiful restaurant which sets a wonderful mood and atmosphere. The menu is obviously influenced by the proximity to the sea and access to fresh seafood and fish. Also influenced by the DADAS culinary tradition. The dishes are wonderful, honest and generous. The staff is very passionate about ensuring you are having a great time and enjoying your evening and delighting your palate. Strongly recommended
A great night out. Lovely food and one of the best in restaurant musicians I’ve come across. You’ll need to book - this top spot is very popular especially with French visitors. Check out the gigantic lamp shades! On the food front Mr S started with a “beautiful, authentic, fresh” bouillabaisse followed by an “extraordinary” paella with an abundance of fresh seafood. The king prawns on my risotto was perfectly cooked and the beetroot and feta starter (special of the day) was succulent and tasty. For a change we were also tempted into dessert. High quality gelato for me and a greatly enjoyed rhum baba for Mr S. All round a special night out. We like the back story too of why it is called Madada. You’ll have to do yourself to find out 😊
Incredible food in a beautiful, historical Moroccan setting. We had super fresh oysters and octopus carpaccio to start, absolutely delicious. Followed by the sea bass and clam linguine which were also stunning and full of flavour. Highlight was definitely the dessert, a selection of 4 mini desserts which were astonishingly tasty. Really well priced and friendly staff too! 100% recommend if you are looking for a boutique style fish restaurant in Essaouria.
A bit of a rocky start, but a strong recovery and a genuinely great overall experience. After placing our order, we noticed that several large tables seated after us were served both appetizers and entrees before we had received anything beyond drinks. After about an hour, we checked in and it appeared our order had not been sent to the kitchen. Once the issue was identified, the team handled it very well. They apologized sincerely, brought out our food promptly, and generously offered a complimentary bottle of wine and a dessert, along with adjustments to the bill. We also learned they were accommodating a large tour group at the time. The food and drinks were all absolutely fantastic - we ordered some of the signature drinks, the spider grab gratin and the chicken piccata. The service recovery was thoughtful and professional. Not a perfect experience, but one we’d still recommend.
