Excellent! We came twice during our stay. Delicious pastries sold by weight. Less than €6 each time for bags full of goodies. Highly recommended.

I know little to nothing about Moroccan pastries and other sweets. The selection is vast. I selected 4 items, have no idea what the names are, but enjoyed the tastes.

Great selection and very good products

We came to buy almond pastries. Before buying several, we simply asked if it would be possible to taste a small piece to check that they weren't too sweet, as we'd had a bad experience at another pastry shop. The response was curt: "If you taste them, you'll pay 4 dirhams." We understand that a shopkeeper can refuse free samples or charge for them, but it was the manner of the response that disappointed us. We felt unwelcome... A shame, because a warmer welcome would probably have convinced us to buy. Later, we went to another pastry shop in Essaouira, "Bienvenue," where we were greeted very kindly. The owner showed us several specialties before we bought anything, which put us at ease. We ended up happily buying our pastries there. The welcome is an integral part of the customer experience, and that's what made all the difference for us.

Excellent pastries! We lived right next door and tried three different bakeries in the neighborhood, all very good, but this one was the best for us!!!
