The best Riad I have stayed in Morocco, and I visited 5 different ones. Very nice staff, speaks French. Sacious rooms cleaned daily, towels changed daily. Very tasty breakfast, 3 or 4 cakes to choose from. Plus coffee, tea and orange juice. In addition, I liked the deep swimming pool and the huge roof terrace.
Common area was amazing. But room linens were stained and dirty
Best Riad, that I ever seen !
Top 👌👍🏼 …
Best hospitality I ever had
A fabulous stay in this 14th-century riad, which has been completely renovated while respecting the local heritage. A beautiful, welcoming stay accessible to all, with a swimming pool. Massages are available on site. I want to thank Ziati for his perfect welcome; he is always smiling, welcoming, and helpful to guests. It truly felt like home. Not to mention Abdel, the guide who works with them and showed us the real Morocco. Fabulous excursions with him. The meals were all homemade and local, always well-served and with generous portions. I 100% recommend this riad.
Positive points: -Location in the medina -Very kind and helpful staff -Welcome tea and cakes -Terrace and common areas -Air conditioning in the room Negative points: - Entrance a little difficult to find; a local woman helped us. -Dirty room. There is dampness/mold on the walls, door handles, and in the closet, making the room difficult to breathe. Stains on the bed linens. The light fixtures barely provide any illumination and are dirty. The electrical outlets are worn and struggle to hold a charger in place. The window panes are only partially cleaned: all the dirt is pushed to the sides. - The bathroom is also very damp and smelly. Many stains and damp patches, undoubtedly due to poor ventilation and the shower having no protective covering for the walls or floor. -The pool has a greenish color that is much less appealing than in the photos. -Meal prices are in euros (??) - Breakfast is of average quality. One of the pancakes we were served was moldy. We have stayed in several riads in Morocco, and this one was particularly disappointing: the location and the building are very nice, the place has potential but deserves a good renovation! We like Moroccan riads for their authenticity and simplicity. However, authenticity does not mean unsanitary.
Beautiful authentic riad! Breakfast on the upper terrace is simply top-notch! The staff is super helpful and friendly! The pool is open 24 hours a day and provides cooling whenever desired. Unfortunately, there is a lot of chlorine/bleach in the water (bleached hair turned green after an evening of swimming). Very quiet/calm despite the busy outdoor surroundings. Comfortable bed and very nice-smelling bath products! For me personally, the furnishings in the room/riad were sometimes a bit too cluttered/busy, but that is a personal feeling. Mosquito nets on the windows in the rooms also seem necessary to me so that animals/mosquitoes cannot get in and you can leave the windows open with peace of mind. The view from the room was a disappointment, but then again, you are right in the middle of the souk.
