We stayed for 6 nights at Riad Sofia and we were both really happy with our choice. The location is very close to the medina but a little quieter, you can easily walk to places. The riad is beautiful with gorgeous decorated rooms, big comfy bed with aircon. The roof terrace is also a really nice space for relaxing and we went in the plunge pool daily. Mehdi and the rest of the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Good filling breakfast and the Moroccan mint tea was very tasty. A big thank you for making our stay so great, I will definitely recommend to anybody visiting Marrakech.
Best Riad on earth!
Superb riad, clean, very comfortable bed, exceptional welcome! Breakfast was rather standard; as someone who prefers savory food, I had to make do with what I had. The manager's advice was invaluable! Thank you! Just 10 minutes from Jemaa el-Fna square, perfectly situated in the cool, quiet streets!
Wonderful Riad with great staff, all amenities are good, close to local souks and everyone was lovely :) Quite easy to find and yet tucked out the way, so relaxing and it felt like staying at a friend's house rather that a hotel. The lady who cooks, does a great job! Kareem is very helpful with lots of suggestions for things to do :)
Loved my stay here. We spent 3 nights and we really enjoyed it. We paid for the airport pick up for two (€15) and our stay included a really nice breakfast. The rooms a big and cosy. Ours had a cold/heat aircon. Ibrahim was who checked us in and he was excellent. Extremely helpful and nice. We had long conversations about Moroccan food, life and even Islam. It was an absolute pleasure.
This is the perfect Riad one can find. Firstly after walking all over we found that the street this riad is located at is the best. It's quiet and homely and feels extremely safe. There is a security at the gate of the road. The riad is beautiful and very clean. The team is very welcoming with smiles and good suggestions. It is close to the attractions and is easy to navigate as there are cabs right outside. The hosts are kind enough to organizr cabs as well. We would recommend booking a pickup from them as its at a reasonable price and you dont have to worry about finding the riad although it's pretty easy on Google Maps. lThe bathroom is spacious and has a lovely heritage feel to it, towels and bedding are changed everyday. Breakfast is offered in the courtyard which is quite good and keeps you fell untill lunch.Heritage Spa is 2 mins away which offers great Hammam.
The staff was really friendly and helpful. The riad is located on a quiet street (you’ll appreciate it after a day in the polluted and stress inducing streets of Marrakesh). The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Some tips : - The taxi will drop you off at the corner where there are people with wagons. Do NOT let them take your luggage! Do not let the taxi driver put your luggage in these wagons. They will ask you for money at the end and wont leave you alone. - Bring cash, you will get the best exchange rate with cash. The closest ATM at Bank of Africa (BMCE) has a hidden fee of 35 MAD (it doesn’t show on the screen). The ATM bank at the post office has the best rates. - Get a SIM card at the airport and use your GPS to find the way around. Google maps is accurate inside the souk.
Nice place, nice people. The only thing that I didn't like, is the fact that, if you want to use the steam room/Hammam, you have to pay 10 Euros, whereas in most countries that I have visited, it was Free. I paid 15Euros for someone to scrub me and another day, I requested to use it, I paid 10euros bringing my own stuff.
