Riad Le Calife

There is a zylion of ryid in Fes, and the choice was difficult. I picked road le Calife on a guess. I was so right, the place is beautiful, clean, quiet, charming, romantic. The service is implacabile. We stay in the Diamond suite, spacious, well equipped, amazing bed and bathroom. The staff is truly taking care of you. We stay first night for diner Friday is couscous, and a real excelent one. The gray win was good too. Breakfast is nice with a view from the roof top. Finally Alex the owner knows Fes by heart, and can give you all the good addresses or book a guided tour. We will be back, that's for sure. We had 3 nights at this exceptionally beautiful place. The decor is fascinating and eclectic. Influences of Moroccan art, African art, French arts and letters surround you. Beautiful tile work, and carved wood. The owners Alex and Yasmine are charming and helpful hosts. Alex is very high energy! We loved the breakfast/ dinner room on the top floor, with big glass windows looking down on the courtyard. Opposite is that is an outdoor lounge for drinks and conversation. Would we go back? In a heartbeat!

Alex and Yasmine’s riad is an oasis nestled into the Medina. They were beyond kind, even upgrading our room in honor of our honeymoon, and giving us a phone so we could call them to find us if we got lost. As an architect, I can’t get over the details that comprise their riad. From the decoration to the landscape architecture, it continually blew my wife and I away with how much thought and effort went into its design. The staff provided attentive care and terrific food. There is no other place that I would want to stay in Fes, Riad Le Calife will assure your time in the Fes Medina is well spent.

So this place is over the top amazing. The staff and owners are genuinely nice and helpful. The room we had was the best we’d ever been in with every detail considered. We absolutely loved our stay here and will be back. The food was remarkably good too. From the cookies in the room to the morning breakfast to an amazing Thanksgiving dinner we were blown away by all of it.

Riad "Le Calife" is truly a privileged place to discover Fez and its medina. We stayed there with our teenagers, and this trip will remain an unforgettable memory. The rooms are decorated with a taste and attention to detail rarely found in hotels. Although located in the heart of the medina, the riad is very quiet. All the spaces, from the bar to the smallest corridor, reflect the style of the rooms: a sophisticated decor that invites contemplation. The terrace offers a breathtaking view of the old city. As for dining, the breakfasts are generous and delicious. Dinners gave us the opportunity to discover a rich and succulent Moroccan cuisine. The staff is extremely attentive to the well-being of guests, like our hosts, Yasmine and Alexandre, who were able to meet our every need. In short, if you are looking for an authentic stay in Fez, look no further.

This riad is simply unbeatable. The location is perfect, and the owners, Alexander and his wife, are incredibly friendly and helpful. They've created a true haven where you can leave all your worries behind. From the very first minute, you feel right at home, or even better. There's a cool courtyard with a fountain and plenty of trees and plants, a restaurant and rooftop terrace overlooking the city, a bar, and other cozy nooks that invite you to linger. The phrase "Make yourself at home" truly means it here.
