Le Souk : Boulangerie & Pâtisserie

The bakery is fairly small but they have a surpising amount of good stuff! All kinds of Moroccan pastries and cookies, and French pastries. We were in Ouarzazate for 4 days in June and went there everyday for something different, and it was all good. The ladies working there were really friendly and helpful. Definitey worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Blending into the background as a Moroccan living abroad, I entered the shop and received no attention whatsoever, not even a greeting in return. I explained my order of oriental pastries, which I wanted to order in Amazigh, and the saleswoman (a trainee?) asked the owner if that was possible. The owner replied, still in Amazigh, that "no, it's not possible to have samples," all in a very haughty and theatrical manner, simply because I wanted to take one of each type of pastry. As soon as I retorted in French, the woman in question adopted a completely different attitude towards me, and it was possible to order samples again, just as the previous reviews had indicated. I cannot understand this difference in treatment between locals and tourists. I will not be returning; I am very, very disappointed. I had been warned about this, but I wanted to experience it for myself.

Every single time I come here looking for a pain au chocolat it is always sold out This happened more than six times now The girls at the counter always tell me it is finished with a big smile I guess I need to come earlier next time😂😂 …

Great selection. Delicious. But very expensive! Similar pastries were available in Meknes for a third of the price.

A shop lacking in quality; products and sweets with an unpleasant taste and stale baked goods.

Unfortunately, hygiene standards are nonexistent. They handle money, bread, or any other food you ask for. There is no woman solely responsible for the cash register.
