La Brasserie Bavaroise

Absolutely terrible due to food poisoning. I had originally gone here on a Sunday night looking for a satisfactory meal in Casablanca. Our first experience with the restaurant was that the front door of the restaurant was locked while an hour and a half prior to closing. We were the only party in the restaurant, and we were served rather slowly considering we were the only party. The service left a lot to be desired as the other reviewers mentioned, but that was not the major issue with this restaurant, as we found this to be the case in a large part in higher end establishments in Morocco. Their special, the mussels, left 3 of the four people in my party with the most vicious food poisoning possible. This was absolutely horrendous and I have tried to contact the restaurant regarding this experience. Par for the course, I have yet to receive a response, and left a poor taste in my party’s mouth regarding the entire country, which is undeserved of Morocco. Stick to the Moroccan classics; better yet order on Glovo, and support restaurants that actually care for their customers not becoming violently ill.

The food was really good with nice presentation and flavour. Special mention about their service particularly Karim for promptness and attention to details and Khadija for translating the whole menu for me and also sharing recommendations.. Adding to my list of recommendations in Morocco..

We had an amazing dinner here! Oysters, Loup de Mer Carpaccio, Filet Steak etc. everything was exceptional. The service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was charming and we as a group of four were perfectly catered for. Would definitely go again!

This was our “medium” steak. The waiter is extremely rude and impatient. When I asked why my friend sitting next to me got a “medium well” steak that’s looking much thicker and more moist than ours, the waiter simply said “no problem no problem” and took our steak back to cook it even more! I took out the translation app snd explained that there might be a mistake, his reply was “this is medium”. So we left that piece of cardboard meat untouched. Maybe some dog will get lucky tonight. Worst French restaurant ever experienced.

We were just walking by and happily found this place. Staff were fantastic and super attentive. We only spoke English but they were multilingual and explained everything in detail. My steak was superb and perfectly done as medium rare. In my group we had also the fish, beef kebab and risotto and all the dishes were a treat. I definitely recommend it for a fine dining meal. A great selection of drinks and deserts was also enjoyed by all.

I chose La Bavaroise for my last lunch in Casablanca, expecting a pleasant French brasserie experience, but unfortunately it was disappointing. The service felt cold and unfriendly throughout — no smile, no warmth, and very limited engagement. I ordered a bottle of wine and a steak, clearly requesting medium rare, yet the steak was served well done. When I raised this with the waiter, the only response was a brief “sorry,” with no offer to replace the dish or resolve the issue. Mistakes in food can happen, but the lack of follow-up and care made the experience uncomfortable. Combined with the indifferent service attitude, it left us feeling unwelcome rather than relaxed. Given this experience, it’s difficult to understand why the restaurant maintains such a high rating on Google. There is clear room for improvement, particularly in service professionalism and attention to customer requests
