Konafa Bakery

A little gem tucked away in the Agadir souk, this oriental pastry shop is well worth the effort… it took us a while to find it, but the perseverance was absolutely worth it! What a lovely surprise 😋 We were greeted with a genuine smile that never left the shopkeeper's face, even during the long time we took to choose our pastries (and there were quite a few to choose from!). He was patient, kind, and offered excellent advice! Another plus: the prices are clearly displayed, which is really appreciated!! Most of the pastries are 4-5 dirhams, which is almost unbelievable considering the quality. The pastries are simply excellent. Delicate, fresh, fragrant, and bursting with flavor… a real treat! An address I wholeheartedly recommend and where I will gladly return on my next trip to Agadir 🤗

We found this place by going in door 2, and it’s up the 5th isle on the right, half way up there on the right side. Amazing Konafa crème (dubai chocolates secret ingredient!) and you can tell is freshly homemade, outstanding, best in Agadir, possibly Morocco! They have lots of different kinds, but the original with the crème cheese inside is the best as it’s fresh. Wasn’t keen on the ones with Nutella. They also sell bags of kunafa so you can make delights at home.
