Hotel Agadir Beach Club

Firstly, we would return to this hotel. Myself and husband came here for our honeymoon earlier this month. We found the rooms to be clean and traditional decor, yes a bit dated but it added to the character for us, we didn’t want a usual plain white room like other hotels. The facilities are great, the pool, pool Oasis snack bar, the breakfast, the evening entertainment which is on every night and cocktail bar - all fabulous! Prices were also decent too. We made friends with one of the breakfast staff Aamid and cocktail bar staff Hassan who were absolutely lovely and really made us feel special on our honeymoon. They do also have a baggage room where you can leave your belongings which is helpful for a later return flight. The porters are helpful but they do expect tips even within the hotel. Any excursions (we booked on Viator) pick up from this hotel which is handy. Local restaurants within 10 minutes walk are all decent such as Jade (Asian food), Fouquets (sports bar/restaurant), and Camels restaurant about 15 minutes walk is very nice too with gorgeous view of beach, Kasbah and nice staff, so you don’t have to eat within the hotel as location is great. Sectioned off beach area for hotel residents is clean and safe, with a volleyball court too! Cons - lack of communication re hotel restaurants, hotel shop etc. For instance the Moroccan on site restaurant is only open on Fridays and Saturdays and has live music on a Friday. We knew none of this until we saw it for ourselves on the Friday after trying to go to the restaurant on the Wednesday. We also didn’t know any opening hours for on site shop as there were no signs and it is omitted from the welcome booklet. Rude information desk staff. The Information Desk in reception has little useful information and no politeness. We asked once about any restaurants in the area that accept Euros (which you would hope they know as a hotel!), and were told go and ask in each one… then we asked another member of staff on another night about the Moroccan restaurant and they said go and ask in there yourself - only to find it was closed and Information didn’t even know even though it’s only open Fridays and Saturdays every week!! So don’t rely on them for info. Wifi is SHOCKING, please do improve this.. A few extra charges not mentioned when booking - towel rental and city tax being two. Overall our experience was quite lovely.

Just spent a week here over the Christmas period, and it was fantastic The hotel is beautiful and in a great location, the bewch is right across the promenade out the back from the hotel. The rooms are big, and the bathrooms too. My room had a balcony and pool view. The fiod was brilliant, there was plenty of selection at every meal time and there was never a time when none of us couldn't find something we liked. The staff were helpful and friendly but not in your face. The beach is clean and beautiful and the hotel had ots own sectioned off part for sole use by hotel guests. The restaurants on the promenade were also lovely and there was a great selection of food to choose from

Not at all happy with this hotel. I had been having a great time in Morocco for 14 days prior to ending my visit here. I'm glad I didn't come here at the start. I had booked a room with a full size bed but upon arrival, they sent me to a room with two twins. I asked to be moved, so they sent me to a room with a king bed but no A/C. That was irritating but I tried to be a good sport about it, thought it might be me not knowing how the A/C worked. They told me to my face that they would send someone up. I waited for 45 mins and then called, they said someone was coming, no one ever did. It was late and I was tired so I slept with the window open. The next day I was given a third room. I wasted about 3 hours of my last two vacation days because they couldn't get my room right. No acknowledgement that they had inconvenienced me was offered, not even a free bottle of water. Two of the three room keys I was given were the old fashioned kind that had your room number in big bold characters on it. The numbering system in the hotel is strange (55xx was on the third floor and 33xx was on the 2nd). Signage is poor and therefore the hotel is difficult to navigate which wastes a lot of time. They have a particular sign up that shows which section each room number is in but it also shows each section as being a separate building when in fact they are all connected now. Elevators are sparse. The whole time I was giving the place a bit of a pass because I thought it was a very old hotel which was challenging to update. It is a nice space , I liked the old fashion feel, however, I found out it was built in 1994. Even back then it was inappropriate to have a room key with a number on it and the A/C should have been fixable.

The place is beautiful but really need renovation works. Location is pefect, sea-front. Staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfast buffet had same food every morning and not really much to choose from.

Had lovely time here with room having a beautiful sea view.We were Breakfast only but plenty to choose from although at times very busy.Loved the Mint tea. Great location across from beach and plenty restaurants to choose from in the hotel and also a 5 min walk outside hotel. Rooms cleaned daily with sheets towels changed every day Staff were lovely especially Latefa on reception so helpful.Staff in hotel bank exchange quite rude we only wanted to exchange large dinars so as too tip staff and pay taxis 😕 grumpy. Also thanks to Michael in snack bar and Abdul in restaurant for looking after us First time in Morroco was impressed. P.S Hotel is 35 years old and yes beautifully DATED Morrocan style.❤️❤️

Overall the hotel is dated, it looks like it was previously a high standard. Breakfast is average, pool is busy, no enough space for sun loungers. Most restaurants were not open often, strict rules on bringing in food and drink purchased outside the hotel. We were told we could not bring in bottled water, the hotel charges 6 times price of water outside. Wifi is almost unusable. The staff are good and helpful and organise a few good activities for kids.

Went on holiday in April 25. Great location, close to the beach, main strip/restaurants on the beach front are maybe a 10 minute walk. Pool was great - big area, decent breakfast selection. Moroccan flat bread was 10/10! Room service was good in terms of cleanliness. However, rooms were VERY dated, toilet is separate to bathroom, mini fridge was not cooling AT ALL. AC spat out hot air and hotel wouldn’t do anything about it (it was cooler to leave the balcony door open in the April heat than having the AC on). It sounds silly but pretty basic - no tea mailing facilities or ironing facilities in the room (I.e. kettle). You have to pay a daily charge to use the safe. Considering how big the hotel is, there are only 2 lifts so going anywhere is a bit of a trek. All in all had a great holiday thanks to my partner… price was fair considering the condition but DO NOT BE FOOLED BY CAT FISH PHOTOS.
