Dakhla Club Hotel & Spa

We had high hopes for Dakhla Club, but sadly, the stay was a huge letdown, and the price-performance ratio was extremely unbalanced. Here are the main points that led to our dissatisfaction: Medina Rooms: The rooms are very rundown, with mold present, poorly designed bathrooms where the toilet is practically in the shower, and no hairdryer provided. Lack of Natural Light: rooms are tiny, almost windowless, and lack natural light. Food: The one bright spot was the food quality, which was good. However, coffee isn’t included, which is surprising given the overall cost. Front Desk Service: Service at reception was unfriendly and unhelpful. An extra €100 was charged for one of our two identical rooms without any explanation, and the overcharge was taken without refund. Slow Service: Overall, the service was sluggish, with long wait times for assistance or answers. Fitness Center: The gym was in poor condition and not at all as advertised. Deposit Policy: Upon check-in, guests are asked to leave a at least €100 deposit, which is supposed to be applied toward any beverage purchases. However, this amount isn’t automatically refunded upon checkout. If you don’t specifically ask, the hotel keeps the deposit, which feels deceptive. Transfer Policy: The hotel refused to provide a transfer to a nearby hotel instead of the airport, which was very inconvenient. I would not return to this hotel and cannot recommend it. The level of service, room quality, and lack of transparency around charges and policies made for a very disappointing experience. BUT We had a fantastic experience at the nearby kite school. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always going out of their way to ensure everything went smoothly, both on and off the water. They provided reliable boat assistance for pickups and support, which made the experience safer and allowed us to fully enjoy our time on the water. Kite launching and landing were handled efficiently, so we always felt well-supported and confident. Although the staff’s English skills were somewhat limited, they made every effort to communicate and ensure we had a wonderful experience. Overall, we highly recommend this kite school for anyone in the area; their commitment to safety and excellent service truly stood out.

I had initially hesitated to book a stay at Hotel Dakhla Club due to some negative reviews I had read. However, upon arrival, all my doubts were completely cleared. Although the rooms were basic and simple, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the rooms were cleaned daily. The staff at Hotel Dakhla Club provided exceptional service, and their responsiveness to our requests was impressive. I give them 5 stars! The hotel has a fantastic vibe, offering both eventful and relaxed experiences. There were daily events to keep guests entertained. Let's not forget the food – every meal we had was delicious, with a variety of options available. The hotel includes a kite surfing club, which you can join to learn kite surfing (You will need to pay for your lessons). The staff members are helpful and communicative, making it a worthwhile experience to try. While there is still room for improvement, I was highly satisfied with the current state of the hotel. Overall, my experience at Hotel Dakhla Club was exceptional, and I enjoyed every moment spent there. I definitely recommend this hotel for your stay.

Such a cool place! Everyone was so nice and friendly and would always remember us and talk to us. It was kind of like fancy camping because there was a big area to eat buffet-style 3 times a day (but SUPER good), and the people that worked at the hotel and kite boarders would all eat together. I feel like if I stayed there again they would remember me. The rooms were great as well. The animals on site get a 3 out of 5. Cappuccino (the camel) was awesome, the kitties were not so friendly.

Excellent hotel, first class services, super comfortable rooms/chalets. The staff and especially Laurent are amazing. The chef does wonderful job and the meals are varied and very tasty. The views are fantastic and change during the day with the lights. Huge pool, great gym and many activities. Unexpected comfort in the middle of the desert at very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

We came to Dakhla to kiteboard and this hotel it is surely the best accomodation you can find here. The bungalows are fully equipped, clean and beautiful. The food is always fresh and tasty, and every buffet meal has choices for everyone (salads, meat, fresh fish, pizza, pasta, etc). The staff is very professional and polite, always welcoming and trying to help. I highly recommend this hotel and I will be surely coming back here very soon!

Nice place and spot. I didn't like one thing. Celebrating nativity... we are Muslims, that is the fact. Do you expect that in Europe they will celebrate the end of Ramadan for Example in Galerie Lafayette or in a hotel... think about it. By the way nice staff... big up to them. Our journey was great.

Excellent accommodation facility ! Very friendly stuff , always taking care of guests. The food is great and the bungalows are clean and comfortable. The kite spot is also great and well organized. All in all a great kite vacation package (even recommended for non kiters , my family loved the place ). We look forward to return.
