Café restaurant bel kayed

The atmosphere is pleasant, the decor is stylish and the food is traditional and tasty. However, the restaurant owner would repeatedly come to our table and insist that we left a 5-star review here, to an extent he even took our phones and was watching to check if we'd rate the restaurant as he wanted. We noticed him doing the same with other customers, so I presume many of reviews here are not genuine. That sort of intimidation ruined our experience, and I wouldn't go back there.

The food was really tasty and good. The best I had in Morocco . Also the building was really authentic and nice, staff was very helpful. Rooms were clean and nice looking. Would really recommend this place.

BED BUG ALERT! Dear Sirs from the Riad Bel Kayed - so this is the 3rd time in one month that you get notified by your clients about the presence of bed bugs. Last night, a bit past midnight we called one of the directors that said they never had that problem before, however, looking at the reviews from at least 1 month ago, you can find other two complaints about people having bug bites. We were lucky to spot 8 (!!!!) in the bed before sleeping and changed rooms. At this point, you can consider that your hotel has an infestation, since we saw bugs in all sizes and the cycle of production of them are of about 30 days. The hotel is OK, not that clean, not that dirty, location is a bit off, during the night there is no staff at the hotel. For future costumers, read the other reviews to be sure what you can expect.

Amazing service. Owner is very friendly and will help with anything you need (trips, guides, drivers, entertainment). Food was great. Spent every night smoking on the rooftop terrace and drinking tea. Great location. Authentic ambiance.

The host is very kind and helpful, had great advise for my trip to the desert and the medina of Fez. Also the room was nice and quiet. Dinner and breakfast were delicious.

This Riad is beautifully decorated and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The host Saad was attentive to all our needs going out of his way to come with us to help us buy some necessities on our arrival. He offered us a choice of traditional home-cooked meal which were beautifully presented on large moroccan plates. He also offered to take us on a tour of the old souks and the main sites of Fes. We had an incredible time and Saad and his kind family made this trip more magical for us. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at Riad Bel Kaid

The riad tour guide is a scammer. Be careful with this place. They will keep trying to sell you things, tours, cooking classes, etc. The tour guide took me to “co ops” that were just trying to make money off of me. They are extremely pushy and get aggressive if you say no. One of the shops he took me to scammed me 120€ charging me for things I didn’t buy. Be careful with this place!!!
