I came to the office with my four-day-old baby, who was post-cesarean, and I had great difficulty getting around. I even had to climb the stairs to reach the office. Several people in the waiting line offered to let me go ahead of them out of compassion, but the receptionist refused and was rude and unempathetic, speaking in a curt and unpleasant manner. Faced with this cold and inhumane reception, I decided to leave and find another pediatrician, despite my fatigue and pain. It was very disappointing in a pediatric practice where one expects understanding, respect, and kindness towards mothers and newborns. The doctor may be competent, but the reception is discouraging.
