Rooftop pool and view are great, but usually crowded. The hotel is popular with big tour groups, and overall service and room quality were just okay. My mattress wasn’t comfortable and the bathroom needs updating. The tub didn’t drain well. It’s fine if you just need a place to sleep after exploring the souks, but the amenities, water pressure, and temperature were disappointing. I rarely saw staff around. As an African American traveler, I also felt watched in common areas, unlike others in my (mostly white) tour group. Once, I went to the terrace for a photo and was immediately questioned by staff — strange vibe. The pool bar was closed for renovations and the area was packed with people soaking their feet. Good for: tour groups, large families Not ideal for: solo travelers, couples, or small groups
