Parque de los Amantes 🏷 The Lovers' Park, located in the heart of Tetouan along Hassan I Street, was established in 1926 under the supervision of Spanish General "Orcas" and designed by Spanish engineer "José Gutiérrez-Liscano," who drew inspiration from Andalusian gardens. 🏷 Originally, the park housed monkeys, peacocks, fountains, and colorful fish ponds under the shade of various trees, some of which were imported from China and remain to this day. 🏷 Currently, the park is facing significant neglect and vandalism. Despite attempts to rehabilitate it, these efforts have fallen short of the aspirations of the people of Tetouan and lack the distinctive Andalusian touch that the park is known for.
