This is the most minimalist Marriott we have stayed.
We couldn’t sleep due to the traffic noise from the street, and the stadium across the street was with so many BRIGHT stadium lights beaming at you, the curtains weren’t enough to block the lights. We were told later there is a game in 2 days that they are working on getting it ready.
We requested a room change, found out afterwards there was no heat in the room, they sent 2 maintenance guys to fix, by 10.30PM still haven’t figured out what the problem was, we finally had to ask, can we get us another room you can fix your heating at your leisure?
We were transferred to the room next door, also no heat, the 2 maintenance guys were trying to fix the heating again on the spot….
It’s 11PM now, can’t you just give us another room so we get some sleep? It’s almost midnight, perhaps it’s best to fix tomorrow?
We were finally transferred to a 4th room, this time heater actually works.
The next morning we were offered something in the future, no kidding, with this rate I am not sure how soon I will be ready for another Marriott, I guess something is better than nothing, certainly not what I had expected, all and all it was a let down.
The bright side: staff were friendly.
