Excellent restaurant, I had a chicken tagine with preserved lemons, delicious and very generous portion, the staff are very friendly

A restaurant tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the medina on a quiet side street. It serves typical local cuisine. The dishes are generous and of high quality. This little restaurant is well worth a visit.

The restaurant is one street before the location shown on Google Maps. Khalid greeted us very warmly and also speaks Spanish. We ordered a kefta tagine and a chicken tagine with lemon and fries. Both were delicious, the best tagines we've had in Essaouira. What's more, the value for money is excellent. At the end of the meal, Khalid treated us to tea with Moroccan pastries, a very nice touch. We will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Thankfully, there are still a few small restaurants like this one in Essaouira. The food is delicious! You eat at tables along a quiet little street. The staff is friendly and professional. I wish I could have gone back several times during my stay in Essaouira. The very young kittens there that day added to the charm of lunch. I hope this restaurant stays open for a long time.

I've been in Essaouira for three days with my partner, and today I came to this place because of the menu I saw on Google and its 4.9 rating. Khalid and his family, all with huge smiles and extraordinary warmth, served us zaalouk as a starter to share, followed by chicken and seafood pastillas—SPECTACULAR. They brought us mint tea with two complimentary pastries along with bread and a dip as a starter. Definitely recommended. Traditional Moroccan cuisine, clean, and absolutely friendly.

The food was very good, but they probably washed the vegetables with tap water or added it to the orange juice, and because of that I had very severe food poisoning for about 10 days.

Best restaurant in Essaouira, hands down!!! The owners are incredibly kind, incredibly hospitable, and have tons of vegetarian options. Highly recommended!

Tucked away in one of the alleyways of this city is this restaurant. The service is very friendly and welcoming, and the owner speaks perfect Spanish. We ordered the seafood pastilla, which was delicious, and a squid tagine with tomato sauce, which was exquisite. We finished with tea and pastries. All for about 200 dirhams.
