Cafe Normandie

Several years ago I ran into an old Moroccan acquaintance, who had retired. He said that he liked to sit regularly at Café Normandie. Recently I was in the area, and I decided to have a coffee there. Since there are no outside seats on the sidewalk. I walked inside and sat at a table near the main entrance. Café Normandie is located in a quiet part of the city, within walking distance of Iberia or Place de Koweit. The polite waiter brought my coffee and a bottle of Aqua Noble water and presented the bill for 14 DH. Since I was reviewing the business for Google Maps, I took some pictures of the exterior, the inside front covered terrace and the larger main room and upstairs sitting area. I was impressed with some old looking photos, a huge replica of the passenger ship Normandie upstairs, various portholes that are incorporated into the café's decor and a ship steering wheel at the bottom of the stairs. The place definitely has a nautical atmosphere and it looks somewhat Art Deco. Overall the is quiet and pleasant. There are two strong WiFi signals available at Café Normandie.

Absolutely lovely with great waiters. Even the boss said hello. A nice gentleman. Unfortunately it was evening so I didn't have food, but I will next time. Clientele too are excellent.

Here is one of the best places in Morocco to have a good breakfast at an affordable price.

The staff is welcoming and professional, always smiling and attentive to customers. It's a perfect place to relax, chat with friends, or simply enjoy a coffee in a friendly atmosphere. A café I highly recommend and where I will gladly return.

A cafe that was once one of the most beautiful in the whole city, but now needs to be renovated and repaired, even the drinks and food have unfortunately declined in quality.

Really not great. Overpriced for very average quality.
