Riad Saltana

Nice place at a good price, breakfast was really good but the riad is right in front of a mosque with an extremely loud speaker for the prayer at 6am. The point of contact was quite rude and unhelpful. Could also do with some maintenance. But overall decent price for what you get.

Lovely hidden riad in the centre of Essouira's medina. Great terrace views, peaceful setting, big rooms with lots of character and cleaned every day. The breakfast on the terrace was a great start to the day and watching the sun set in the evening was just as special. Geraldine was very helpful - sharing her medical kit and helping us with logistics to plan a little 2 night trip away. Book this Riad!!!

Our arrival at the Riad was met with a rather unpleasant welcome from the owner, Geraldine, who made rude and inappropriate comments, giving the impression that we were bothering her. We didn't quite understand it, especially seeing that the Riad is full of signs asking for a good rating on Booking.com. Although the rooms were clean, they smelled strongly of damp, making our stay less than pleasant. On the positive side, the terrace and the very complete breakfast were excellent, as was our employee Omar, who was very friendly and attentive.

Lovely view from the terrace, nice cook in the morning. The room was adequate, but unfortunately, there was a strong smell of sewage and damp. Finally, the loudspeaker from the mosque across the street was located directly in front of our window and was extremely loud. We are sorry to leave this review, but we want to be transparent for future travelers.

A delightful discovery, a riad that has successfully integrated modern amenities while retaining its traditional charm. Ideally located with direct access to the main entrance of the medina. The view from the rooftop is a feast for the eyes and, in the evening, a source of tranquility. The welcome is exceptional; Omar and Souad are incredibly attentive from morning till night, without being intrusive. Their helpful advice and assistance with various activities are invaluable. If you appreciate authenticity and simplicity, this is the place for you. The breakfast is delicious. The room is impeccably maintained throughout your stay, with meticulous care and cleanliness. Oh yes, and the price is more than reasonable!

A lovely place with a beautiful ocean view and impeccable service. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated with handcrafted items and local colors, plus comfortable bedding. The Moroccan breakfast on the terrace is a real treat and very generous. Souad and Omar are incredibly attentive, as is the owner, Geraldzine.

Breakfast is amazing, and if the weather is nice, you can enjoy it on the terrace overlooking the sea. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the rooms couldn't be cleaner. Thoughtful touches like hot water bottles and bathrobes speak volumes about the staff's dedication.

What a rude person works there! She needs a course on how to deal with customers.
