Slow, expensive, and mediocre food. Much better food to be had elsewhere, for cheaper and faster.
The good: the riad is very pretty, the parrot is fun, and the staff seemed attentive (to everyone but us)
The bad:
The waiter took 10 minutes to take our order.
We ordered a vegetarian couscous and chicken tagine. Five minutes later, the waiter came back to check the order was correct, which it was not. Ten minutes later, the waiter came back to tell us that the tagine was unavailable, meaning the waiter took that long to even check the order. More than 50 minutes later we were served with average couscous, for 180 dirhams per plate. I’m not sure the sauce I received was vegetarian (same as non-vegetarian version), though after waiting so long I didn’t even want to ask. Despite the nearly hour-long wait, the staff only asked if we wanted anything else after serving our food.
Terrible overall experience for a date, costing 50 EUR approximately.
For dinner we walked 5 minutes away and had an incredible experience for less than a third the price, with incredible service.
Would not recommend this tourist trap.
Basic things like offering a glass of water would have improved the experience.
