El Kabados

This restaurant is a disaster. Two different menus with different prices for exactly the same dish. Their desert-like atmosphere speaks volumes about their "success"...

Honestly, it's not the same as before. The service and food are very poor, and the wait is so long you'll get fed up. Personally, this is the last time I'll go back.

God is my witness to what I am about to say. An evening ruined because of a novice cook and a manager with no sense of duty. I placed an order with the Cabados restaurant in Oujda for July 8, 2026, at 9:30 PM: a medium seafood pastilla for 800 DH and a medium mixed salad for 300 DH. On the day, at the table, everyone was shocked from the first bite of the pastilla. In terms of taste: far too salty, too spicy, not tangy enough, and extremely hot. The excess of salt, spices, and chili pepper made it taste disgusting. As for the filling: a little shrimp and cuttlefish, but the squid and white fish fillets were nonexistent. The rest was just vermicelli and mushrooms. The pastry was too sticky and undercooked, and the presentation deserved a 3/10. The following morning, July 9, 2026, around 10:30 a.m., I went to the establishment to express my dissatisfaction to three members of the kitchen staff and the hostess (or manager). She apologized and explained that the person usually responsible for the pastilla hadn't come, and that they had assigned the task to another (inexperienced) cook. Normally, she should have informed me of this incident by phone. I could then have either canceled the order or chosen a different menu. Unfortunately, they only thought of themselves. One of my guests even mocked me, saying, "Oujda is known for its karane, not its pastilla." This is the typical result when you entrust the fate of an evening to a novice. Friendly advice: before organizing a party, think about it a thousand times before choosing your restaurant. It's a professional disgrace.

The food was very mediocre, nothing like what was on the menu. They even cheated on the bill, and to make matters worse, the staff were incredibly rude.

The quality of the food was terrible. We ordered sushi, but it was really unbearable, and I thought the filling smelled awful. The vegetables in the salad were hard and definitely old, and the rice was very dry. I didn't like it at all and I don't recommend it.

The first and last time, we had to find a table ourselves; there was no waiter to seat us. We waited an hour for our food. It was very hot in the dining room and the music was very loud.
