Zoco Riad

Excellent place. The staff is warm and attentive. The breakfast is plentiful and high quality. I highly recommend it. A huge thank you to everyone, and especially to the young man who carried my broken suitcase when I left at 4 a.m.!

I am writing this while staying at Riad Zoco. I am absolutely overwhelmed by how incredibly beautiful Tanger is and how hospitable Moroccans are in general. This is ny first trip to Morocco (Tanger) and i am so happy that i chose Riad Zoco. The experience here at the Riad has been so friendly and it feels like home. Let me start with the people who manage this place. Our first interaction was with Rashid, the ever smiling, always helpful and very friendly manager of the Riad. We had some fun chats in French too. The other person that I want to mention is Mohammed. He is the guy who manages the kitchen and the food department. His work doesn’t look easy but he is somehow always smiling and helpful. He made several trips to the terrace on the 4th floor, bringing us and other guests our breakfast, carrying those huge and heavy trays up and did it with such beautiful commitment to serving the guests. It’s incredible how well these people take care of their guests.it almost feels like you’re visiting a relative’s house. I must mention another beautiful experience that we had at the Riad Zoco today, we got an impromptu/surprise invitation from the owner’s brother to join them for lunch this afternoon. This was such a heartwarming gesture. We had such a lovely afternoon eating together, sharing the food from the same big tajine. It felt like a family eating together and talking about life and other family members. We gossiped, shared pictures of our families, talked about variety of topics and laughed a lot. And guess what, this 2 hour long lunch conversation happened in 3/4 different languages; English, Spanish, French, and a little Arabic. Nothing got lost in translation and this only goes to show that emotions and genuine intentions can be conveyed without words or without speaking each others language. It was a Moroccan experience that I will cherish forever. This is turning out to be a long review 😂 But coming back to the Riad Zoco, don’t even think twice, just go ahead and book. It a relatively new Riad, it’s tastefully decorated, the rooms are clean and reasonaky spacious, the prices are reasonable too, the staff is incredible, the breakfast won our hearts, the location is just amazing (3 mins from Petit Soco. You are right in the middle of all the action and yet it’s a very quiet place, once you’re in the Riad. Very peaceful. So what are you thinking? I finally found this place, newly set-up on a recommendation and what a find! Utterly charming with super rooms and facilities and the best ever breakfast, so much, you can not eat all! Rachid the manager is such a genuine helpful man.

A wonderful experience! The rooms are spacious, clean, and very welcoming. Abdel is a charming and kind person, very hospitable. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the common areas are tastefully decorated. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the Tangier medina. I'll be back as soon as I can!

Visiting Tangier is always a pleasure, but if you can treat yourself to a stay in a place as wonderful as this, the experience is on another level. It couldn't be more centrally located, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautiful, and the views from the rooftop are breathtaking. 10/10

A very welcoming and traditional riad, with an excellent location in the center, close to the beach! The breakfast was delicious, one of the best we've ever had, and the staff were super attentive and friendly!

Cozy, beautiful, friendly people, centrally located. Without a doubt, the best place to sleep and to experience Tangier to the fullest.

The best place, the all-organic breakfast is the reason to return as often as I can.
