An incredible riad and a must-see in Meknes. My most beautiful experience in Morocco. The place is as magnificent as it is welcoming. Everything from start to finish is a fabulous experience: the tastefully refined details in every corner, the terrace offering breathtaking views of the medina, the comfortable and charming rooms. Not to mention the excellent cuisine. I felt so at home that I left with a heavy heart. The hosts, Issam and his family, welcomed us like I've rarely been welcomed before, with kindness, friendship, and discretion. I warmly recommend this magnificent place. Anne

Other reviews were right. Worst stay in my life. We found bed bugs and roaches all over the place. Place looks nice but when you turn off the lights is when the party gets started. We had to pack our bags at 3am and wake the kids up to leave. Owner was extremely rude as others mentioned, he never even apologized, he rather told us to keep it down so the others don't hear us and he asked us to go to a hotel if we weren't happy. Also it is a lie that parking is available and private, there's no parking and we had to walk through the rocky narrow allies with our luggage and bags for over 10min to get to the door. No hot water in the rooms at all. The deck/roof was a scam, it was dusty, closed, and full of construction material nothing like advertised. Before we left they asked us to say that we had a no show so that they don't have to pay any commission or fees, that's all they worried about. Horrible stay and an even worse service, would NOT recommend.

Falsely advertising that parking is available, you are on your own. Your best bet is to park your car on the street about 200 m away and walk with your luggage. Breakfast is inferior (an overdose of sugar) not well prepared coffee. No eggs, no fruits, no butter. On the third day of our stay, we waited for breakfast for more than 90 minutes. No body was in the hotel to serve breakfast. Nobody was in the hotel, period. I called the owner 3 times, he did not even pick up the phone. Sent him an email, not even an apology. We were left without coffee, tea or breakfast. Options in the neighborhood were not that great. It doesn’t get any worse. As you exit the Riad, you walk into a smelly ally. Upon returning into the Riad, you will have to keep knocking until someone inside hears you and open the door, often that is done by children. No cold water. Lighting in room is not comfortable. A bit noisy room. Facility has a good WiFi. In room only, no WiFi in breakfast area. Furniture is broken. I was encouraged to go to the terrace to find piles of old furniture and not a place to sit or relax. It looks like the property is taken care by only one person: he cooks, serves food, cleans dishes, cleans rooms, cleans bathrooms, carry your luggage, … Overworked. No trash bins in rooms, no safe, no fridge.

It's a nice family palace. Service, room, air-conditioning excellent. Georgious.

We arrived at the Riad on June 9th, tired of traveling by motorbike. They advertise that they have private parking, which is a lie; the motorbikes were left parked on the street in front of the Riad. The rooms are tiny, with no space to leave luggage. There are only two hooks on the wall, and the lighting is pathetic; we had to use a headlamp to look through our luggage. The shower only had a trickle of cold water. In the morning, we wanted to leave early and have breakfast at 7:00, but breakfast wasn't served until 9:00. By forcing the issue, we managed to get them to serve it to us at 8:30 as a special favor. The surprise was that there were six of us, and they prepared it on a coffee table meant for two. After complaining, they finally made it for us on a large, proper table. One thing is certain: the decor is nice, and the location is great, but otherwise, it was a complete disaster. We will never return.

Highly recommended, the place is simply magnificent! In a unique and authentic style typical of the city, the riad is located in the narrow streets near good restaurants with parking nearby. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is plentiful.

A charming place, impeccable service, a young and welcoming owner who has managed to revive a bygone era through the authentic decor, the choice of fabrics, and the woodwork. It's simply magical. A true haven of peace.

The best breakfast in Morocco 🇲🇦 accompanied by the kindness of its workers, including Jaime, a Madrileño based in Meknes who served us very kindly and gave us recommendations about the Medina. …
