Great riad! And a great location in the medina!

We absolutely loved it! The decor and atmosphere transported us while still making us feel right at home. Breakfast on the terrace was delicious, with a special mention for the pancakes and honey. It's the perfect place to recharge, take time to read thanks to a library full of wonderful discoveries, and benefit from the hosts' invaluable advice on finding authentic and affordable spots in Essaouira. Thank you for your warm welcome!

A short family weekend at Riad Consulat was just perfect. The riad was privately owned and well-located next to the ramparts and restaurants. The staff were attentive and very discreet. I highly recommend it! 😎 Until next time, God willing.

A superb stay with friends at the consulate. Wonderful moments. Ideally located for exploring the medina, a truly charming and comfortable riad, and the staff were lovely. We will be back.

We booked the entire Riad Le Consulat as a family, three couples together, and had an absolutely wonderful week. Immersed in a truly Moroccan atmosphere, in the heart of Essaouira's medina, we appreciated the spacious, comfortable, and peaceful setting. The riad is ideally located, surrounded by numerous restaurants offering a wonderful variety of flavors: Moroccan, of course, but also French, Italian, and even quicker or more gourmet options. A huge thank you also to Souad and Radja, who took such good care of us each morning and delighted us with their delicious couscous and tagines. We were captivated by everything this magnificent city has to offer: buggy rides, exploring a vineyard, and relaxing moments strolling through the labyrinthine alleyways of the medina. In short, a huge thank you to Riad Le Consulat and its owners for their attentiveness and warm welcome, which greatly contributed to the success of this wonderful vacation.

Our second stay at this charming Riad. It is in a fantastic location, close to the city walls, ideally located to explore all the shops and close to the port and beach. The Riad is beautifully decorated and the staff so kind and helpful, I would highly recommend a stay here.

We felt very welcomed at this lovely spacious riad. The location was great, with everything you could need on your doorstep. The rooftop was a lovely sun trap despite it being February. We were kindly able to leave our luggage as we had a later flight. Our trip was too short- we would like to come back and explore more of Essaouira!
