Riad El Mansour

A wonderful co-operative shop selling an extensive range of handmade products, including vintage pieces. Well worth a look around - the lamps and lanterns are especially beautiful.

A very interesting shop with friendly, knowledgeable (and no pressure) staff. Large selection and fair prices too.

We discovered Riad El Mansour by chance and it was a lovely experience. The shop has a beautiful collection of artifacts downstairs, and upstairs an amazing selection of handmade carpets. Nurudeen was very kind and shared the making and usage traditions of all the different types of carpets (and I couldn't have imagined there are so many). As good as a museum! We did not ever feel pressured to make a purchase. Nurudeen was very genuine and proud to share his culture. A lovely experience and an additional reason to visit the authentic town of Meknes!

We just went in for a look, and got shown some beautiful carpets and the owner shared a lot of Moroccan culture and philosophy. Nothing was pushed or any purchase expected, and it was a nice experience, even though we didn't end up buying anything. Great selection and warmly atmosphere 👍

If you are at the Medina you should definitely visit! We were dropped off here by our „guide“, at first i thought it would be a tourist trap, but then the owner started piling up beautiful handmade carpets in front of us and told us all about their special usages and history and while i never thought i might be interested in carpets and their history, we’ve spent an hour talking to the owner about everything from carpets to the future of Marokko. He never asked us to buy anything at all After we talked and we were served chai, we didn’t want to buy anything, which we honestly told him and he was kind and respecting none the less. Great place to learn about and buy a carpet!
