Riad Al Bartal

This riad is spectacular - rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, as is the entire facility. Very friendly staff (good English speakers also), and located a short walk from the medina of Fez. We went in July - the common spaces of the Riad were very warm, although the room had its own AC which was a life-saver. Breakfast is wonderful, and we ordered dinner there one night which was one of the best meals we had on our journey through Morocco (although also the most expensive meal we had). Highly highly recommended!

Incredibly beautiful riad and I can imagine a better place to stay. The rooms were spacious, had hot water with good pressure, good air conditioning, and the courtyard was beautiful with attentive staff that went out of their way to make us comfortable. Recommend without hesitation!

Spacious two-floor clean room, stunning interior design and good breakfast. Staff was really nice and offered us a perfect guide to the Mid-Atlas. From the Riad it takes approximately 15 minutes to walk to the Médina. The only downside in case of environmental issues is the use of sachets in the bathroom. Why not making use of a refillable shampoo dispenser instead of creating unnecessary waste? :)

An absolutely beautiful and tranquil place to stay and eat in overwhelming Fez. The rooms are amazing, the staff are super friendly and helpful, the food is wonderful. Treat yourself! You won't regret it.

An excellent address if you appreciate authentic places. The riad is simply magnificent, with refined decor and impeccable cleanliness. Breakfast and dinner were divine, simple yet entirely homemade and very tasty (and we are picky eaters). The place is very quiet, and we slept very well (the mattress was very firm, though, which was a shame). The service was very pleasant, honest, and professional; there were no unpleasant surprises. In short, we highly recommend this excellent establishment, which alone makes you want to return to Fez. Kudos to the entire team and the owners. A few tips for your stay: don't hesitate to rent a car to visit Ifrane (monkeys and the Michlefen Country Club restaurant) and Volubilis; both are well worth the trip, and there's parking for 5 euros a night right next to the hotel. Also, consider taking a guided tour of the medina with an official guide; the city is very interesting. Finally, try to get some help when you need to go to the center of the medina because it's truly a labyrinth. It's normal to ask this in Fez; they're used to seeing tourists get lost :) The riad is also very well located, near one of the medina's entrances, so it's easy to get a taxi. We hope to return soon.
