Restaurant Riad Fes Bab Rcif

Our experience was extremely disappointing. We were originally supposed to stay at Fes La Mama, but when we arrived, we were told that our reservation had been cancelled because there was a problem with the room. They claimed they had contacted us through Booking, even though we had not booked through Booking, but through a travel agency. They did not even bother to contact us directly or make sure that we had received the information before our arrival. After some time, they found us another property belonging to the same owner, Riad Fes Bab Rcif, saying that it was available for the two nights we had to spend in Fes. At first glance, the room did not seem too bad, but once we settled in, we discovered numerous serious problems. We are also attaching photos showing the conditions we found. The evening after dinner, we returned to our room and found cockroaches on the bidet. The following day, we specifically asked for a deep cleaning. However, when we returned, we found exactly the same dirt as the night before. The towels were poorly washed and stained. The toilet was not properly cleaned, with urine stains both underneath and on the toilet seat, as well as faeces stains. The bidet was coming away from the wall because it was not properly sealed with silicone, causing water to leak all over the floor. The shower drain was also defective: as soon as the water was on, it splashed everywhere. Finally, the air conditioning could only remain switched on because the remote control did not work, so it was impossible to adjust the temperature or turn it off. What disappointed us most was not only the poor condition of the room, but also the lack of attention and concern towards guests. We had already experienced an unexpected change of accommodation upon arrival, and the alternative room was clearly not properly checked before being given to us. We strongly recommend that the management pay much more attention to cleanliness, maintenance and basic hygiene standards. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not stay here again. The breakfast was also very basic and standard, with very limited choice. It mainly consisted of simple, typical products such as yogurt and jams, without much variety or anything particularly special.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant with our family of four. The Moroccan food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of authentic flavors. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The restaurant itself was very clean, comfortable, and welcoming, which made our family meal even more enjoyable. What really stood out was the excellent service—the staff were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. They made us feel very welcome and took great care of us. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, from the delicious food and lovely atmosphere to the outstanding service. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily come back again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for great Moroccan food and excellent hospitality!

Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The hospitality was wonderful, making us feel truly welcomed and at home. A special place in the heart of Fes that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great Moroccan food, culture, and genuine hospitality. ❤️

This Riad is fantastic! It looks very much as on the photos, very atmospheric, with beautiful wall and room decorations. It is also super well located, near the "main" square on Medina, so it is easy to find it back in the evening. Stuff is very, very helpful and pleasant and the restaurant is amazing! Food is delicious and with a nice twist compared to anything else we tried. By all means, recommend!

We've just had the most wonderful evening meal in this beautiful Riad: chicken with almonds tagine, slow cooked lamb with couscous, accompanied by six plates of cooked vegetables and a plate of harissa spiced olives. Everything was superbly cooked, presented and it was truly delicious, with generous portion sizes. Like many other Riads, don't let the building's exterior deceive you: this place is magnificent inside! Highly recommended to others. Hope you enjoy your meal here as much as we did.
