Restaurant Mother Hand

Came in for a dinner after a travelling from Marrakech. The owner Yassin is very hospitable and friendly, will make you feel welcome. Food was great, pricing being a bit on the higher side as it is a family run business. But that's totally expected. Portions were filling and they even provided a complimentary Flan, which in my opinion was the best I had here. Would definitely recommend to visit.

Worst experience of our vacation in Morocco. The prices were also good, but the food wasn't good. The tagines had an excessive amount of caramelized onion and no spices, making them cloying. A nice touch: the chicken tagine had chips on top! The prunes seemed to have been taken straight from the package and placed on the plate uncooked, and the tagine was just used as a serving dish. Furthermore, at 7 PM they had run out of couscous, effectively halving the menu, except for the salads (the best part of the meal).

Terrible. I don't know how it has so many good reviews. We got two wraps. One with falafel, completely sour (my friend left it 3/4 full) and one with chicken and chock-full of terrible fries. The atmosphere was dirty and the owner was sleeping when we arrived. Terrible.

Great lunch. Very friendly owner. Even gave both of us a free dessert!

We had a great meal at this small restaurant where the humorous waiter brightened our evening. We highly recommend Zaalouk!
