10 Oct 2019The pharmacist is in direct contact with patients: • advising patients on minor illnesses and contributing to primary care (prevention, screening, etc.), • monitoring the care of certain patients with chronic illnesses, • ensuring that prescribed medications do not interact with each other and informing patients about contraindications, • supporting women using emergency contraception and those using drug substitution treatments, as well as monitoring patients on anticoagulants and those with asthma, • referring patients to appropriate healthcare professionals when necessary.
