Montgolfiere Hot Air Balloon Marrakech - BalloonSpin

We had a lovely morning watching the hot air balloons and the setting was absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was lovely, the views were incredible and, most importantly for us, this ended up being where I proposed to my partner, so it will always be a very special memory. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the private breakfast arrangement we had paid extra for. A private breakfast isn’t an option normally offered as part of the experience. I contacted BalloonSpin several weeks beforehand specifically because I was planning to propose, and we had a long conversation about arranging something more private. I explained what I was planning, and they confirmed they could arrange a private breakfast for us for an additional cost. Because of those conversations, I reasonably expected us to have a private area away from the other guests. Instead, when we arrived we were taken to the same rooftop terrace as a large group of customers who were going on the balloon flights. When I questioned where our private breakfast was, I was told that we came to the terrace first while they went to their balloons. Once that group left, there were still other customers having breakfast on the terrace. Then, shortly after our breakfast arrived, another very large group came upstairs and the terrace became extremely busy again. There was nothing private about the area itself, we essentially had our own reserved breakfast setup within the same communal space being used by everyone else. I spent weeks communicating with the organisers specifically to arrange privacy for a proposal and paid an additional charge for that bespoke arrangement. What we received simply wasn’t private, and I don’t think the additional cost was justified by what was provided. If BalloonSpin wants to offer this as an additional option in future, I think they need to be much clearer about what “private breakfast” actually means, or provide a genuinely separate area when privacy has specifically been agreed for something as important as a proposal. Update: I also contacted BalloonSpin directly after our experience to explain my concerns and give them an opportunity to respond. My initial message was read but received no response, and my follow-up has also gone unanswered.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Moroccan Sky Balloon today! The morning started bright and early with a 4:30 AM pickup, and our driver, Hakim, was perfectly on time. He was incredibly friendly, kind, and patient, instantly creating a wonderful, warm ambiance for us. ​The flight itself was pure magic. Watching the sunrise from the basket and seeing the stunning mountains near Marrakech clear up as the daylight hit them was a truly breathtaking, unforgettable experience. Hakim’s amazing hospitality made the day even greater. This is an absolute must-do! Highly recommend this team.

The crew was incredibly patient, waiting until the fog cleared and the clouds opened up to ensure the best and safest flight conditions—something we truly appreciated. Their calm and professionalism made the whole experience even more special. The day was perfectly complemented by a delicious lunch, traditional Moroccan tea, and cozy, comfortable shelters where we could relax and soak in the authentic local atmosphere. Everything felt thoughtful, warm, and well organized. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly memorable and genuine experience.

Great service from the team - managed to fit us in last minute after GetYourGuide failed us and messed up our booking. Highly recommend to book directly with the team and avoid 3rd party sites.
