Ma La Rose

Ma La Rose is difficult to find. Google Maps gets you to a specific area, but it's multi-level and maze-like. however, I desperately needed a manicure before I was getting on a plane early the next morning. so I was determined to find this shop 😉 Ma La Rose's was wonderful and if you don't agree, you're not my kind of people. In this little tiny space there was so much going on. there was pleasant chatter all around. Ma La Rose and her staff were African women from Senegal, having left their country a long time ago. luxurious, it is not, however welcoming, friendly and a gathering spot for many. most importantly, tools were sterilized and cleaned. English, French, Arabic and, of course, Senegalese spoken ☮️

Saw some google reviews and decided to give this place a go….Got my hand and feet done but got THREE injuries, my fingers and toe were BLEEDING but the lady just completely ignored it till I cried out. My fingers and toe hurt so bad. The ladies who done my nails were lovely but they were very harsh when they remove my existing gel and cutting the cuticles. Also, the whole process was very unhygienic, they don’t sanitise their tools and they keep licking the painting brush….In general the ladies were very friendly but they were way too harsh and unhygienic. Would not recommend. (Also, where did all these five star reviews coming from?)
