Café Jour et Nuit

This was our first time coming here. We decided to give it a try because the restaurant had just been renovated, looked really nice from the outside, and we thought it would be a good place to eat. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The first red flag was when the waiter cleaned our table using a cloth that had been sitting on the floor in the corner. When we pointed it out, he casually said it was fine because he keeps it there so it’s close to him. That alone was very unhygienic and unprofessional. Things only got worse after we ordered. Half of our food arrived while the other half, which were tagines, took over an hour to come out. By the time they finally arrived, one tagine was full of water as if it hadn’t been cooked properly, and the other wasn’t even warm. We had been waiting so long that we were starving, but after seeing all these issues, we completely lost our appetite. At that point, we decided to pay for what we had received and leave. Between the poor hygiene, the extremely long wait, and the disappointing food quality, this was not a pleasant dining experience. It’s a shame because the renovation gave us high expectations, but unfortunately the service and food did not match the appearance. We won’t be coming back.

I sat alone at a table waiting for the waiter to give me some time to order, but no one stopped to ask. I sat waiting for minutes without a care, then quietly left. The service was awful.

The food is delicious, large portions, not expensive, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant.

The horseradish is very tasty and the staff is friendly. The prices are very reasonable.

A Good quality of coffee

Nice and busy touristy cafe that does great English breakfast tea. Lots of seating and view of the ocean from the corniche.
