AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! The Booking.com reviews for this establishment are fake; the manager is hacking the accounts. We stayed there as a family with 5 rooms booked, including 2 luxury suites. Well, these suites are next to the restaurant and are particularly noisy!!! Everything in all the rooms is old and dirty. The paint is peeling, the bidets aren't sealed, the hot water takes a good 5 minutes to arrive, some of the towels were dirty, the photos on the website must be very old because they bear no resemblance to reality.

We stayed at Riad Bab Rcif at the end of March 2022. We were welcomed by a very generous staff, attentive to making us feel at home. The riad is beautiful. Every morning, a generous breakfast awaited us, prepared by Bouchara and other talented women, who also took care of lunch and dinner. Moustapha took care of us from before our arrival, answering us whenever we needed via WhatsApp: truly helpful. Said and Bilal managed the dining room and were also always attentive and available. Kamal, who was a new father when we were there, shared with us the celebratory lunch he celebrated the birth of his son: a wonderful experience for which we are very grateful. It was a very welcoming place, one we were happy to return to after very tiring days touring the city. We highly recommend it!

The manager of the Hotel Riad Fez Bab Rcif, Mr. Kamal Mouaouine, is very friendly, as is all the staff. The restaurant is very pleasant, the food, with good salads, is well-prepared, and the breakfasts are very good. Its location at the entrance to the Medina is excellent, as you can experience the bustling life of a vibrant Medina while enjoying the tranquility of an old Riad. Very pleasant.

To begin with, they asked for our Booking.com reservation number so they could leave a review themselves! There was a problem with the room upon arrival; the staff were noisy while the other guests were sleeping, and we had to ask them to be quiet. The soundproofing was poor; you could hear your neighbors and their alarm clocks. The bathrooms smelled terrible after showering, with a sewer odor rising and pervading the room, in addition to the tannery smells nearby. Avoid this riad at all costs; it lies to you, isn't clean, and uses your data to post positive reviews!

This hotel deserves a 5-star rating. The staff is very friendly and will always help you with anything you need. The rooms are very clean (not a given in Morocco), and the breakfast is plentiful and very good. As for the restaurant, it offers a set menu: a large appetizer with various small dishes to be eaten with excellent bread, followed by a main course that can be of any kind: the mutton tagine is excellent, the best of my trip to Morocco. Be sure to reserve a table on the hotel's rooftop.
