TISSIR JEWELLERY .

Our friend Suky bought a lovely bracelet which was kindly shortened for her. I purchased a quality leather and silver band - both at great prices without any pressure sales. On top of that Brahim and his brother recommended and helped me to book a restaurant further along the souk, at short notice, and for nine people. A really good experience!

This was SUCH a find. I was wandering through the souk, getting overwhelmed by the amount that was available, and then did some research on what the best jewelry store was. I am SO glad that I did - this tiny gem is hands down, the coolest jewelry store I've ever been to in my life. The owner won't pressure you at all - you can just go inside and look. The pieces are priced fairly - by weight of the silver. And there are real pieces that are museum level quality. I got three bracelets, all of which I'm overjoyed with. One of the bracelets is so nice that when I went to another jewelry store they commented on what a nice piece it was. It didn't break the bank either - $380 for a handmade, vintage, one of a kind bracelet. I would spend that at a mass-produced store. The value is SO much better here. Could not recommend more highly!

Some shops sell jewellery. Brahim's shop sells small moments of magic — and I've got the ring to prove it. Wandered into Tissir Jewellery (shop 36) and was instantly won over by the sheer warmth of the man behind the counter. Brahim has that rare gift of making you feel like the only person in the bazaar, patiently talking you through pieces with real love and knowledge. No pressure, no performance — just genuine passion for what he does. I left with a sterling silver ring set with the most gorgeous onyx stone — beautifully made, with that proper handmade character you can feel the moment you put it on. It's already a favourite, and every time I wear it I'll think of that afternoon in the souk and Brahim's brilliant energy. I also bought a pair of earrings as everything was just so beautiful! If you're in Morocco, skip the obvious stops and make the pilgrimage to shop 36. You'll leave with something special — and probably a new friend. Five stars, ten stars, all the stars. This small shop holds a lot of jewelry, with more selections to my taste than other, larger shops. The best part is that the owner, Brahim, is ready to help and very friendly but leaves you alone to ponder your choices if you just want to shop it out. I found my ring!

It was a pleasure talking with Brahim - very knowledgeable and speaks good English. After traveling through almost all of Morocco, this was the first shop where I actually liked something… I guess I’m quite picky. I was looking for something truly local, with Berber patterns and a delicate filigree style rings, and this was the only place where I found exactly what I wanted. The shop didn’t have usual mass-produced Chinese items, which makes it feel trustworthy - you get the sense that the silver here is real. One of my rings was resized for free, and I picked it up the next day. You can pay by card, though cash is definitely more preferred. Recommend 🙂
