Service Emergency

The initial welcome was pleasant, however, the "doctor" was completely unprofessional. He came because of a possible rabies infection from a dog, didn't examine my wound, didn't know the protocol (24 hours for the first vaccination), and to top it all off, there were no more vaccines available in Essaouira this Saturday, and no solution was offered... I hope I haven't contracted rabies...

After a feral cat bit me in Essouira I went to a pharmacy for advice. They advised me to go to hospital. When I arrived I was seen immediately, Dr spoke English and prescribed Cédol paracetamol, Amoxicillin antibiotic sachets and a vaccine. Collected later from local pharmacy for 250 Dirram (about £25 in sterling) I was really pleased with the assistance and was it was far easier and straight forward that visiting a UK accident and emergency hospital.

Visited because of food poisoning. I went there as google maps navigated me, but it was the back entrance only for staff. The security kindly escorted me directly to right place and after short wait I was already in the doctor's room. The doctor spoke english and immediately prescribed the necessary medications. Paid 40 DHS for the consultation, and later 106 DHS for the antibiotic, diarrhea stopper powder, and the pain killer for the abdominal pain.

A big thank you to the emergency services; they saw me quite quickly and were very attentive. But only go there if absolutely necessary; there are other people available.
