i dont know why there is 5-star note, its not true. for my boyfriend and me, this hostel is almost the worst one... the bathroom is disgusting and dirty. the sheet in the room is kind of not very clean. we stayed just one night(cause we arrived late in essaouira) and left at around 8 in the morning(didnt have the breakfast and just want to find a better one). i do not recommend here.

Very friendly staff and an excellent location. Easy walking distance to the majority of the sights in Essaouria. It can be a bit tricky to find as there is no sign on the outside of the building.

Clean and cozy, 4 bed dorms share one bathroom, rooftop not as cool as in other places. Over all an average hostel.

The shower was broken, the drain was clogged, the bathroom door fell on us, the pillowcases were dirty… and when we went down to pay at 10 a.m.… the reception staff were still asleep on the sofas in the reception area and we had to wait until they woke up. We've stayed in some wonderful places in Morocco, but this one is definitely not recommended.

Friendly, attentive, and helpful staff. Close to restaurants and the souk in the heart of the Medina. A very comfortable mattress. Excellent value for money.

I've always wanted to leave this review but haven't so far: in 2019 I have booked this hostel months in advance for having a secure place for going to the Gnaouafestival. Two days before arrival I receive the cancellation stating they have to do some important work. Of course, in the most busy week of the year there is some important maintenance to do. I'm sure they wanted to cancel the "cheap" stay I had and advertise again with a "festival price". Is this how you treat other people? We had to find a place last minute which cost us way more of course. I strongly advise anyone to not support this kind of asocial behaviour!
