Riad Sidi Benslimane

A splendid riad in the peaceful heart of the medina. The welcome and friendliness of the staff were fantastic! We thank Jawad for his kindness! We had breakfast and dinner there, and everything was excellent! The rooms are beautiful, clean, and very comfortable! We look forward to staying here again.

We just spent a week in this riad. It's our second time here, as we stayed three years ago. We enjoyed it then. Since then, there's been a change of ownership, and we're even happier now. First of all, we love the location because it's not far from Jemaa el-Fna square, a 10-15 minute walk through the souks. Secondly, we love the riad itself because it's truly inside the medina, a little palace straight out of the Arabian Nights, in the heart of the Sidi Bensliman district with a real neighborhood feel, not just for tourists. We felt like we were living in a small village, and we quickly made friends with the locals (barber, grocers, hammam, restaurant, tour guide, etc.). And finally, how can we not mention Jaouad and Amina, always kind, welcoming, and available! Amina's breakfasts set us off on the right foot, and Jaouad's humor lightens the mood. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, and wherever you look, everything exudes refinement, simplicity, and authenticity. We highly recommend it!

We spent our first two nights in Morocco here. It was like stepping right into a scene from 1001 Nights. Mohammed is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are fantastic. Open lattice windows overlooking the courtyard. Breakfast with everyone at one table. So lovely! I would definitely come back!

An idyllic riad, excellent service, comfortable rooms, very good bedding, spotless, a truly wonderful place straight out of Arabian Nights... Many thanks to Jawad for his service and kindness, and to the cooks for the excellent breakfasts. A place to highly recommend.

Its a shame I have to write this review as the Riad is beautiful but we had terrible experience with the staff there. Got in for 1 night as our last night in Marrakech. When we got to the Riad there was no one there to great us and such we were "jumped" by locals that wanted to help us. They found the night shift guy at a cafe and brought him to us, after that they asked for 3£ each as tip, which we refused basically because we had no cash, night shift guy then said when I asked for his help in the situation "what happens in the street is not our problem" which made things extremely uncomfortable. Past that and in our room the staff dude said we should book a airport transfer with him since it was safer, which we did at 15 EUR, come the next day we go out to the street with him to catch this transfer and he keeps saying how this service need to be tipped...really?? We have an early flight and driver takes more than 30 min to arrive to which point we say we are going to get a taxi as we are going to miss our flight, dude then says we need to give him 5 EUR because of the inconvenience, at this point I think he is taking the piss. We end up taking a taxi for 10EUR ... ADMIN if you are reading this please try to have more competent staff at least at night since it was now tainted of memory of Marrakech.
