Riad Marhaba

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Riad Marhaba. Florent was such a lovely host and the Riad was just perfect. My room was beautiful and quite comfortable. I asked to have dinner in one night and Maria, one of the staff, cooked for me. It was the best meal I’ve had in Morocco so far. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace which is a really nice way to start your day. I will be visiting again and highly recommend Florent’s Riad.

Really horribly designed rooms, disappointing breakfast, and lacking service. We stayed in the family suite and one of the rooms had a window into the hallway of the suite. The hallway had a motion activated light so the your room would light up in the middle of the night whenever someone went to the washroom. Funny thing is, there was a curtain but it only covered the closet above the window and not the window itself? There was also a window pointed straight into the courtyard without a curtain. The doors and windows offer no noise insulation which is pretty normal in riads and wouldn’t be a problem if the owner did not talk at the top of his lungs every morning. The sink and shower was also ensuite to the main bedroom so if you wanted to wash your hands after using the toilet (located in the hallway), you’d have to go into the main bedroom and disturb whoever was sleeping there. The toilet door did not close and you had to latch it shut with a metal rod that looked like it was about to fall off. I understand there isn’t much you can do with an old building like this with regards to layout but I’d at least expect curtains and the courtesy of keeping quiet in the mornings. The cat is cute though.

The room was disgusting. It was dark, small and apparently was full of ants. If you want to rent a room be sure it is not in the top floor. Besides, the door had to be closed with a detached lock 🔒, one of those you use for bags. Not what I'd call safe. Not recommended at all. Go away. …

Very small room, no door in the toilets/shower, no air conditioner in 45c heat. No privacy to open windows either. We left the place straight away. Went else where

Absolutely great experience we had here. Very friendly host. The room was awesome and the location is awesome.! Highly recommended
