Riad d'Or

I gave it one star because there's no less! Frankly, it's mediocre. First of all, it's a nightmare to get in; you have to wait 10 minutes for someone to open the door. The service stops as soon as they open it, as if you're supposed to know your way around. The staff provides absolutely no help, no hospitality, not even a smile. The view is basic; you can't even watch the sunset from some spots. And to top it all off, the price list is ridiculous. Why pay 25 dirhams for a drink that normally costs 4? Not to mention the exchange rate, which takes all afternoon to get. My only recommendation is to stay as far away from this place as possible.

This is the most beautiful riad we stayed in during our entire trip to Morocco. It's spacious and beautifully decorated. Our lovely room overlooked the magnificent inner courtyard. Large terraces offer panoramic views of Meknes and the surrounding area. We appreciated the helpfulness and kindness of all the staff. The breakfasts are generous and varied.

Atmospheric jazz and great smells greet you upon entering. Attention to lighting, cleanliness, friendly staff and good coffee! Hot showers and an awesome rooftop terrace await. We were able to buy bottles of wine and beer from the reception and bring to our riad. The hallways are a labyrinth of mystery to explore....

A superb riad with breathtaking views from the roof garden, which also features a lovely pool for relaxing. It's truly exceptional to be able to sip tea on the terrace sofas at evening prayer time while the sun sets on the horizon and the storks fly to their nests.

Mohamed and the other staff were absolutely fantastic. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and always did so with a smile. The riad is very beautiful and the breakfast was top-notch. Thank you to the whole team! We highly recommend this riad in Meknes and hope to visit again someday, Insha'Allah. Thank you. This place was simply awful. Hygiene was nonexistent. I wish I could give it zero stars. The staff were incredibly unpleasant (and even prone to being overbearing). The pool? I won't even mention it; I was so afraid to swim because, in my opinion, of the diseases that were rampant there. The room was disgusting, and the bathroom was just as bad. I strongly advise against staying here. A deplorable place with appalling staff. 🤮
