Amazing hostel with great staff and ideal location !! Would recommend for anyone coming to Essaouira !!

I stayed in a beautiful room for two. Hostel is in the heart of medina.

Not worth paying 8 euros for the dorm. Its extremely dirty, full of dirt everywhere, toilets, rooms, and kitchen. The dorm smells like mold, and they provide no sheets. Just a velvet mattress cover which is extremely hot and a blanket. When we arrived, our beds were not ready and they never got changed with clean linen. No wifi in any room except if you're in the reception. Nice terrace with great view. Good location. The receptionist from Senegal was really nice, respectful and helpful. The receptionist from Morocco was making all the girls feel uncomfortable. Not worth the money at all. Wouldn't go back.

This is the dirtiest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Ever. They don’t sweep or mop the floors, they don’t wipe down the beds or even try and make it look clean, and I don’t even think they clean the sheets or blankets. The bedding smells horrible, the room smells horrible, everyone here is getting sick. Don’t stay here unless you’re fine with dingy dirt covered everything. On a good note: the other travelers were nice

This is a great hostel if you want to meet people. But don’t go here if you want a proper sleep or go a very clean place. The hostel is very noisy as you can hear everything going on in the reception. And the cleaning was not done very well. Plus they don’t give you sheets for your bed. Hostel staff was very nice and hospitable though.

Okay place. The staff is not welcoming at all, and hygiene not so good. Wi-Fi inexistent and the breakfast is a piece of dry bread with a boiled egg. The location is great tho, right in the middle of the Medina.

If you are a non smoker is not the place for you. Both receptionist smoke in the kitchen and reception area when, there's a roof just nearby. We were at 1st floor, reception at 3rd and the smell was hovering in the air. Loud music at reception and people shouting late night along the stairs. We booked a private room which does not have a private bathroom. Was mold and pee sticking plus sigarette smell so wasn't the most enjoyable atmosphere. There's no air conditioning, not that we needed. The breakfast was included, boiled egg, half baguette, some honey, mangerine, occasionally a fruit, coffe or tea and a small yogurt. That was ok. Unfortunately in the margarine often there was fluff, dust, fibers, black bits and a once ashes. They using cables on the top roof to dry laundry so make sure to give a shake to get rid of dust. Bedding sheets were not the tidiest and shiniest ones, same for pillows, they had spots on them and they were smelling. Although I brought pillow case and cover mattress. I had a great experience! I booked in advance for one night to see if I liked it, and stayed for three weeks! Good location in a great town, helpful staff that are very friendly and encourage socialization (but aren’t pushy, I knew I was welcome to have my alone time or hang out) and know a lot about the area so they can help you find what you’re looking for. Excellent terrace, and well maintained! It’s clean and the breakfast is fresh. When I was there, breakfast included eggs and fruit (not just bread products like you get some places). Any disruptions or issues were dealt with promptly (replacing gas bottles for hot water, fixing WiFi outages, etc.). Can’t beat the price, too!
