L'avenue Rabat

L’Avenue is exactly my type of place. Elegant without trying too hard, great atmosphere, and honestly one of the few spots where everything just feels right for a proper dinner at night. The menu is excellent — balanced, refined, comforting, and perfect for an evening out. And the music… can we talk about the music? 😭 Absolutely on point. The vibe is immaculate without being overwhelming, which honestly changes the whole experience. You go there for dinner and end up wanting to stay way longer than planned. Great food, beautiful ambiance, amazing energy definitely one of my favorite spots in Rabat.

Such a cute and romantic spot. I went for lunch and it was pretty empty, but it looks like on weekends at night they have a DJ and more of a vibe. I’d definitely recommend going in the evening if you’re looking for more atmosphere. The food was extremely good. The burrata is a must-order — absolutely delicious. I also had the entrecôte, which had great flavor but was a bit too oily for my taste. The beef Milanese was really good and tasty as well, and even the sides were on point. Service was 10/10, which made the experience even better. Overall, a really lovely place — just pick the right time to go depending on the vibe you want! ✨

— A total let down The food was shockingly bland and uninspired. The piri piri chicken was drowned in a strange, salty sauce that had nothing in common with authentic piri piri flavor. The steak? Basic, flavorless, forgettable. And then came the desserts—an utter catastrophe. The tiramisu was the worst I’ve ever tasted: soggy, oddly flavored, and clearly thrown together without care. The pistachio profiteroles with “ice cream” tasted bizarrely artificial, like something from a vending machine. Definitely not what you expect at restaurant prices. A complete waste of money. I left disappointed, hungry, and wondering how this place gets any positive reviews at all. Edit: my friend got food poisoning the following day and we believe it was the profiterole dessert. It had funny taste and it was the only thing I didn’t share with her 😊

We had heard a lot about this renovated restaurant located on Route de Zaer, so we decided to give it a try. The website mentioned that the chef was French, but when we asked, we learned that they no longer have a French chef. While the service was fine, the food was a major disappointment. The Niçoise salad was poorly presented and lacked seasoning, the steak was completely tasteless, the mashed potatoes were watery and bland, and the gambas were overcooked. On top of that, the glasses were poorly washed and had an unpleasant odor. When we finished, most of the food was left untouched. They asked why, and I explained that the food was bad. Despite this, they still brought us the full bill without any consideration for the situation. Unfortunately, nothing was satisfactory, and we left deeply disappointed. We wouldn’t recommend this place.
